Only reason was costco was already advertised. There are no Costco in Western Australia and for some, it is definitely too far. So that's why I was posting this.
Can anyone confirm if you can use iTunes gift cards to a Netflix subscription? Also is this only available if you have an apple TV? thnx
Yes, it works.
You have to sign up/start your subscription via Apple TV. It will then charge Netflix via your Apple ID. Will use whatever credit you have on Apple ID, or charge the payment method you have on file with Apple (If you don't have any balance from prepaid cards etc.).
You only need to start the subs via Apple TV. Once it's going it's a normal Netflix account - you just have to manage your payment details via iTunes rather than Netflix website. So if you have a friend with an Apple TV, you could sign up from his with your Apple ID & then use as normal from any Netflix app or their website.
Great! good way to get a little bit back! Buy discounted cards, get 2% cashback with ING and then also going to share the subscription costs with a mate. Using only 15% discount (usually you can get more) its $10 a month for the $12 plan!
