      It's an amex (Most stores charge a higher processing fee for amex)

        I have two credit cards, one DJ Amex, another Visa. From my experience, most stores (e.g. service stations, supermarkets, hotels, online stores etc) I go to don't put a surcharge on credit cards at all. Those who do will charge a higher rate for Amex, so I'd just use my Visa instead. Also Visa is more widely accepted than Amex.

        I am planning to cancel my Amex after a year though, one credit card is enough. I only applied because they gave me a $150 gift card when I applied, and tripled my points in the first 6 months. Since then I've redeemed at least 5-6 more $100 gift cards, it's a lot faster than my Visa. So not too bad, I think I got my money's worth.

        Another thing, Amex also provides better service than Visa. A couple of times, I didn't pay my balance in full (mostly due to oversights), and I got charged interest. I rang up to ask them to waive it, they did every time.

          is the annual fee charged 12 months after you get the card, were approved for the card, or just January every year? :)

    Hey guys. You might want to edit the title of this thread and include VIC. I have the same letter in front of me and it is for the same day "Wedsnesday 18th Nov between 5 & 10pm" but it is for Chadstone and Glen Waverley, Victoria. As such, this deal is available for all Victorians too.

    Thought that might be some useful info for any Vics looking at this deal.

    Apparently you can avoid the annual fee. Just threaten to cancel if they don't waive!

      were you or do you know anybody that were successful in avoiding the annual fee on a DJ amex card? I tried but they said no so i canceled the card.

    i went to the chaddy one.

    They offered $50 gift card on top of the 27000 points, just for signing up!
