Belkin TV Plus $29.80 Delivered @ Telstra eBay Store - Stream and Record Video to Your Tablet/Phone

60

This Belkin @ TV Plus can stream and record live TV (via your set top box), FetchTV, Foxtel, or anything with a composite or component output in SD to your phone or tablet, over wifi or 3G/4G. You can change channels with the included IR blaster.

If you have a cheap analog CCTV system you can also hook up the quad or matrix output to it so you can watch the stream live, although you won't be able to select cameras unless your CCTV system has IR support.

Next cheapest seems to be $45 from futu_online, and the price goes up from there.

The Android app has a 4-star rating:

Looks like it used to be $179 when it first came out - that's what Scorptec have it listed for:

    The Cons

Only streams 480p video; No HDMI support

shut it down folks, shut it down

other than 480p only. overall seems great, tempting

    • An easy test would be to watch youtube videos on your phone in 480p and see if it looks acceptable.
Streaming in HD to your phone would eat up your quota pretty quickly too!

      • ^^Agree^^
If you have a good connection on both ends it actually looks pretty decent on small displays on phones & tablets.

Have one of these. Great little box for enabling viewing of TV or any other analog source away from home. Shame it has no HDMI though. Just note that android app hasn't officially been updated since 2013 so it only works with JB v4.3 & below.

    • The paid version appears on my Nexus 6 running Android 5.1 so I assume it works. The free one doesn't appear though.

      • Really? Didn't realise that. Thanks for the heads up! Wonder if the 'free' one on the Amazon appstore works on KK & LP?

    • Grab it from the Amazon app store it's free.

  • so it can beam Foxtel to my TV in the bedroom somehow?

  • it boggles my mind that a device that is only 3 yrs old doesnt have hdmi out and is only SD

hdmi in I can sort of understand as hdmi has hdcp and whatever on it but many of the TVs ozbb likes dont even have component

    • It was meant to be a 'cheaper' alternative to Slingbox/Vulkano Flow.
