  • +1 for no credit card fees

    • Danger of fees on credit card (due to international payment processing), company has reputation for cancelling orders (including past gift card deals), and generally poor reputation for customer service. Worth it for the 2.5% ?

just pay using paypal as it will be processed locally.

      • I didn't get any additional charges on my Visa CC.

        • From my experience it seems to be random and not necessarily about the card. I have put through Amex and Mastercard transactions with and without fees.

I have requested a refund of charges, not sure how that will work out.

Groupon agree to refund overseas transaction charges & are setting up local billing (after complaints to ACCC).

    • But this is for a "BIG W eGift Card", can this be used at woolies?

Yes, and various Caltex/Woolworths petrol stations etc. It's functionally no different to a Woolworths e-gift card. That's a big reason why the groupon deals have been so popular.

Read details of current deal here.

groupon is currently offering a better deal

  • How to check the remaining balance of eGift Card?

  • Pretty sure this has been around since forever? lol.

EDIT: My bad, this has been around forever on SwitchedOnWomen.

Not much of a deal when Group on offer 7.5% and can get this from plenty of others eg. RAC, cash rewards.

  • 10% off from KareKard.com.au though you will not get for atleast 2 months and non-existent customer service (They dont reply to email for atleast 20 days)

    • I saw this deal too but after reading online reviews decided they were too dodgy for me! Happy to be told otherwise.
