Vodafone 3GB Mobile Broadband USB 3G Modem $14 at Woolworths

150

As you can no longer get 3 gigs of prepay data for $9 anymore this $14 deal for 3 gigs is the next best thing for wireless data. Buy a few and save them for a ADSL breakdown day or when out and about. These are new stocks not expired stock. Mine says manufactured Jan 2015. Yes they are still making 3 gee stuff in 2015.
This is $1 less than the office works Optus slimline huawei 3 gigs deal and you'd probably don't need to struggle to find as you would on office works deals as office works have a reputation of carrying only 2 items of anything on special.

Woolworths pre-paid devices can be difficult to find if they've been on special before. When the Lumia 530 went on sale earlier this year I phoned four stores before finding stock.

For Lumia 530 I was able to get rainchecks… and got the stock easily once the special ended.. not sure if this one is exempted from rainchecks

is it usb or wireless ?

    • Vodafone 3GB Mobile Broadband USB 3G Modem $14 at Woolworths

It is usb but I'm sure that all OB'rs have a spare wifi modem…

  • It's a USB dongle. Compared to office works where all specials are virtual, woolies have more stock and more real than office works.

  • I believe those SIMs are capable of 4G if you put them in a 4G device.

  • Yes they are capable of 4G when we put in 4G device. I am using it.

Whereas Optus dongle Data Sims are not capable at all in any mobile phones for using data.

Keep in mind the Optus deals also come with 3 months of free Netflix worth $36:

    • Don't know how long 3gig would last on netfix though.

    • Thanks Mate.. the Clarence Street Sydney Officeworks still have stock (12). gonna get one…

  • is it lock or unlock?

  • Seeing it is voda, it will be unlock.

    • +1

Is this something they have started doing in the past year or so or are you just guessing? None of the Voda modems I have bought in the past were unlocked.

      • The one I got a couple of months ago was also unlocked..

  • I have never have to unlock any voda modems since 2 years now, they're not telstra.

  • Sorry but is this deal Australia wide ? I went to Woolies in Brisbane city just now and it scanned at $19.
