50% off EVERYTHING at Rebel Sport World Square NSW

780

Hey guys,

Just letting you know, that Rebel has increased last weeks 25% off to now 50% off all stock. This is everything in store. Even if the price is a red ticket item, its still 50% off that.

Check it out! This is exclusive to the World Square store only. Store is closing down on Sunday the 19th of April.

Edit: It will be CRAZY during the lunch break (12-3). I would suggest going later on in the day. We are open 10-7 everyday.

Another Edit: I can't tell you up to date stock information since I am not there right now. I will be on Thursday if there is something you want me to check. Also, I have been informed that there is a line to get in that goes out and around the corner. So unless you have a lot of time and you're going to by multiple items, I suggest waiting for the lunch rush to finish.

I spoke to some of my co-workers. They are buggered!

      • +1

They must be! Thanks for updating the post and responding to our questions!

  • Does World Square stock cricket whites and balls?

    • +2

Nope. The only cricket stuff we have is all the cricket world cup apparel.

      • Thanks! Wont have to brave the crowds now.

      • a lot of cricket world cup apparel………..At least till the lunch time there was

  • Any golf gear and equipment?

    • No golf clubs, but we had a few balls and gloves left.

  • any boxing gears?

    • We only sell gloves, wraps and glove inners, and I'm not too sure on stock. They were quite low on Saturday so I would assume they are nearly sold out now.

  • Hi Rep,
Any top end cricket gear left?
    Cheers

    • We don't sell cricket gear at our particular store.

  • mogwaid, do you know anything about the gift card expiry dates? I have one expiring soon and was told (by phone customer service) that they are still valid 6 months after the 'expiry date', and after the 6 months they can be re-activated. Is this true? I don't want to go all the way to my nearest store only to be told my cards expired.

    • +1

Yes it's usually an extra 6 months. If not, the store manager can extend it. My store manager has done it before.

  • Would any compression gear be on sale ? im looking to get Skins and 2xU long compression. Maybe some table tennis balls + bats too

    • ALL the stuff is on sale. As mentioned a few times in this thread, the only compression stuff left seems to be larger sizes, or was as of yesterday.

  • Hey OP, props to you for taking time to reply to everybody!

Just wondering if you still had All Blacks Infant Bodysuits in stock?

    • +1

I'm pretty sure all our all blacks stock was sent to different stores. The only body suits we had left for infants were random EPL ones,, maybe a few wallabies ones. But I guess as an All blacks supporter, you'd rather put them in a potato sack than a wallabies one!

      • haha gold. too right. he might have a better chance of scoring in a potato sack than in a wallabies outfit.

Thanks for the heads up mogwald

  • +1

Any tracksuit pants left? Everlast or Nike or something similar? In size S or M?

    Thanks.

    • I saw heaps in XL and XXL, but didn't get a proper look as I was waiting in line at the time. I need to get size M for my brothers today in those silky trackies or whatever they're called.

  • Hey OP, was wondering if you guys have any Garmin 620 or Mizuno wave paradox left?

    • Very unlikely we have any watches left. Mizunos, maybe, I'd have to check for you when I get into work.

      • Cheers OP, please let me know regarding the Mizunos. Thinking of making the trip on Sunday if the wave paradox are available.

        • +1

All gone mate, sorry. Not many shoes left at all.

        • @mogwaid: Cheers for the heads up, saved me from going to the city =)

  • Damn, already a queue out the door, and they seemed to be open before 10am.

No major brand soccer balls left in size 5 :( I should have gone yesterday and sat in line.

  • +1

I went out of my way to go there last night at 6:15pm and they had already stopped letting people in. As per the website and the message above it says open until 7pm! I am tempted to neg it but cannot comment on the actual deal itself but seriously not impressed (perhaps the OP should note that they may close the doors much earlier - I was definitely not the only one not impressed by this. I would have thought they would have had extended trading hours given they are closing down and having a sale and thought it a bit average that they were closing doors so early. Didn't look like much stock looking in - socks, clothing etc.

    • +1

as annoying as it sounds (and i'd probably destroy something if it happened to me), i can see where they are coming from. If the store wants to close at 7pm, they need to close doors earlier with allowance for a massive line which would probably already take over an hour to get served.

We can be angry, but i also feel bad for the staff dealing with the same repetitive questions, havoc whilst knowing they are losing their store….bittersweet imo, so we best cut them some slack. I did Target Chadstone yesterday and it was crazy.

      • -1

It's not the staff that I am angry at but rather the management directive and lack of information. I have worked at places such as this in the past and also have been not let into Target 15 minutes from closing as they were shutting then. If that is the case, say your real opening times. Yes, you are busier now as you are closing so you should still have doors open until 7pm and pay the staff overtime to manage the queues.

        • true. like at Target, they allowed for that and i think they had 3 shifts yesterday

        • They were open until 7 pm they just weren't allowing more customers in due to overcrowding and the insanely long queues.

      • +1

A lot of the staff are there from 8am til 8pm, so even after they close the doors, they still have to tidy up. We are still dealing with the fact that some of us have lost our jobs. Its a small store, and we have to get staff from other stores to help us out.

    • +1

We had been staying open til 7, like we are supposed to. I wasn't there on Monday, so I guess the manager made the call to close early to restock and clean up. Sorry about that, I had no idea they would do that.

  • +3

If you go in, make note of the cashiers. I went in today at 11am and lined up on the right hand side queue. There was only one store assistant on that side. On the other side there were two store assistants serving. Their line went twice as fast. I was crying on the inside.

    • +1

And say hi to me :)

      • +1

which one was you! went yesterday and was on the side with 2 store assistants

        • I wasn't there yesterday, but I will be from tomorrow onwards.

  • I am assuming it's not worth a 3 hour train trip to there tomorrow? :P

  • The store was very very busy today. There's some footwear left, lots of clothing. I waited an hour in the queue for the checkout.

  • +1

absolute madhouse in there srsly. Stuffs all mixed up everywhere messier than my sister's room. Cultural shock! Sorry the staffs have to clean that up afterwards just for the shitstorm next day or do they just leave it around? Found stuffs I'd want but impossible to find out price.

    • Yep, we have to tidy everything up at the end of the day, ready for it to get messed up the next. Its the way of the sales. The people who normally do the pricing have been pulled onto the floor to help customers/stay on registers/detag security to make the checkout faster/clean up.

Went in today, unless you're after females clothing, male clothing in L/XL, football boots, world cup clothing, socks, don't stress about not going. I ended up getting some of last small male shirts, the staff were fine, best part was watching them having to answer dumb questions like do you have any more of this or how much is this

    • Damn it. I want to go there. But cannot justify 6 hours travelling (3 hours each way) in case they sell out of what I want or have nothing I want :P

      • +1

Really dont bother I have been there again today but didnt find anything worth queing up for 30 mins….not much left there that you cant get cheaper from sports direct unless you want football shoes or table tennis bats

  • +1

Awesome deal, but not bothered to line up with only limited size/stock remaining.
    Love the dedication OP!

  • +4

I think we will be cleaning up for a while. If you buy shoes, make sure you have the same shoes in the box and both are the same size!!
