  Have had mixed success. Great when they work. Very annoying when they destroy data on your microSD card.

      With these cheap ones, sometimes they will make your SD card unreadable. Windows will ask you to format them and they become unmountable.

      Hard to say which ones are reliable or not, so it's a hardware lottery.

      I have a long oblong shaped 5-in-1 card reader that I bought off DX.com about 5 years ago, and it's still going strong.
      Meanwhile I've also bought some USB3.0 ones from eBay and they didn't even last me 6 months — the slots stop working.

    Looks like MicroSD is the limitation there. Only MicroSDHC & MicroSDXC go bigger.

    Used many of this kind of device, over the years. Random luck when they do/don't work.
