50% off Telstra handsets at my local in SA today

  • How hard are these lumias to unlock?

    • Very. Have search through the other posts when the 530 was offered for that price. It will give you an idea.
However, Boost works with the phone as is.

I'll suggest a $45 ($40 with $5 off newslettter sign up) Huawei Y550 at Harvey Norman. $2.20 to unlock through the user bagman. 4G added and plus it comes with a $50 Vodafone starter kit. Miles better than the L530, and this is coming from a wp fanatic

        • Not better in terms of security and SAR rating I think.

        • @Lysander: Yep, WP has excellent security and idk what sar is but I've used both the 530 and Y550 and its Y550 hands down.

        • I've been to 3-4 Harvey Norman's around me and not one of them sell the y550..it's not listed on their website either - so where do you get it for so cheap??

        • @supasaiyan: On their website its listed as "Vodafone Huawei ascend" and is $45. You can see stores stock and click and collect
          EDIT: Yep that one

        • @dhie20:

I swear I couldn't find that on their website and I asked the lady the staff at HN who said they don't sell them.. Thanks for the link

Are these chips any good? (Compared to Kettles and Red Rock Deli)

    • +1

Tried the garlic/honey one today. Not bad but nothing special over the kettle/red rock ones to be honest. Someone one their facebook page claims they are made by Kettle but just rebranded+different flavours.

My vote would go for UK Tyrell chips:

      www.tyrrellschips.com

Available at coles and woolies I think.
