  • Uh, is this Apple U.S. or Apple Oz?

    • Both… check out Apple.com.au website to find out yourself. Historically for the past 3 years, it's been happening in the OZ store too. Usually it's online only.

I remember it being pretty disappointing last year, at least in Australia.

it's always pretty disappointing, usually the best you'll get is $100-odd off iMacs. Worth waiting if you were planning on buying something this week, but not worth holding your breath for.

      • Will they have a discount on 3rd party items?

You know how apple has their 14 day return policy, what do they do with their returns? Will they sell it off on this sale?

    • Yeah historically very disappointing both here and in the US.. nothing to get excited about.
So little to get excited about I'm voting negative to bring the voting back to its appropriate level of a few positives and nothing more.

    Where is the bargain here?

    Prospective Bargain I guess
Maybe a new section for these .. someday !!

This should be post in the forum… not here!

  • In the past its been posted here and with an additional discount (Employee Purchase Program) its a good time to buy your xmas pressies if they happen to be an Apple product.

    Thanks for the reminder jumpyj.

according to: http://macdailynews.com/index.php/weblog/comments/23133/ (all text below copied and pasted from a US site… so it might not apply to our Aussie store)

""According to a "leaked" email graphic, as reported by The Boy Genius Report last week, Apple will be offering the following Black Friday deals:

    • Up to 30% off on all iPods (except iPhone and iPod shuffle)
    • Up to 25% off all Macs
    • Up to 15% off all accessories, Apple software and hardware.

If true, the deals are applicable on Friday, November 27th only. Select Apple retail stores are said to open at 6am on that day.

[Thanks to MacDailyNews Reader "Fred Mertz" for the heads up.] ""

    • Aussie deal is more limited.

  • Cheers for the heads up; even if it's only a few % (which I'm sure it will be) still beats paying RRP for what's on offer.

  • Historically, for the past 3 years, most deals weren't good at all. Some items were only $1 off (it was the Airport Extreme or something, i think). But who knows, they might just feel generous (or not).

Deals are up and are officially lamo

  • Waste of time. Nothing special at all about these prices.

  • Refurbished is way better discounts than this 7 days a week 365

  • +2

What Crap discounts…. almost laughable… I am sure you can find better prices for all those products

  • Lame deals .. not worth it

  • ipod touch 8GB $244, not a bargain, just got mine for $228 from Harvey Norman.

  • would student discount work on these offers??

  • Deals are slightly worse than EPP and student discount and only limited range of products.

  • pretty crap but I got a Nike+ unit anyway since I was looking to get one and free shipping makes it convenient.

  • What, everyone expected Apple to give good discounts? ;)

  • Crap deals, no bargain here

  • +3

typical apple - expensive even with a discount

  • not really a bargain, few dollar savings that can be had

  • $188 ipod nano? what a big joke ! is this sale really necessary?

  • Does anyone know the best place to get a 16GB Ipod Nano ? Both officeworks and JB had it it for $245 Apple store is currenly $238 with free shipping can I get better ?

  • Get a gift card from JB online and pay via PayPal to get 10% cashback in PayPal credits. Upon receiving your gift card, walk into JB and haggle for some discount. I'm sure they can throw at least a 5-10% discount. effectively you get 10 + 5% off.

  • what a joke… Kmart sells cheaper

    • Apple Oz = joke

  • Watch this space?

Nah, this site's supposed to be about bargains, not speculation.

  • Apple OZ Lame attempt at giving us discounts on their products… You're better off buying from other vendors and getting more of a discount.
