PHILIPS LED 5.5w MR16 60D $31.84 @ Dick Smith C&C Ends Today

60

Dick Smith has one day only online sale today.
Was looking for the 4 pack of these globes, and DS had them on special today.
They normally retail for $50. Same at Bunnings.
Not sure if there are companies that offer these globes in the VEET program, but these are the globes I wanted to use.

Also they have Eneloop AA 4 pack for $12.09 C&C

I tried to leave a comment yesterday, hoping for someone to make a Deal post for $29.99 (and possibly $26.99) per pack

I have over 30 installed and they are pretty good … got them for $5 each installed with the VEET scheme (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/187273). Not bad for around $32 (or $29.99 yesterday) from Dick Smith.

Not sure why you paid anything for them? Every man and his dog are offering changeover to LEDs for free!

Just let me know where you found the Philips 5.5W for free (not the Primsal !) … I am pretty sure that lots of people would be happy with that information.

        • I'm sure they would, but please tell me… What makes the Philips globe worth that much more after discount?

  • Good old willy Smith

  • Can someone confirm that these are non dimmable. All other references seem to suggest so. Just want to make sure.

Pack says non dim-able if you enlarge it

These are non-dimmable. Check my first comment, and follow the link if you need some specific information. There is even a review of the bulbs.

  • Edit: Found it. Appears to be retro-fittable.

    Non Dimmable.

I just installed a few of these, i have installed a lot of different brands of LED lights (dozens). These are the best to retrofit as they work with most older transformers (no need for sparky) and are VERY bright. I made the mistake thinking that at 5.5W they would be less bright than the 50W Halogens that they are replacing, boy was i wrong, these are VERY bright. They are not far off my 16W Brightgreens.

Get some of these, they are great.
