I don't think you can classify discount codes as a marketing expense, let alone in this scenario where DH has to pay the difference to the restaurants.

I'd be suprised if they will end up paying any tax at all in Australia after their Australian division pays the usual 'royalty fees' to its Dutch parent.

Code not working for me. Ordering min $20 and using mobile app.

I found a restaurant that has $15 minimium order.
I put $24.50 into the basket.
At checkout I applied DINEHARD and it showed $10.50
I then press the payment button to proceed, and it tells me "some values… are invalid" and highlights the voucher code field.There is no mention of a fee.
Delete then re-install the app. Then enjoy dinner.
@Jay43: you may not need to delete the app.
The problem may have been caused by the order being entered prior to the code. Like if the order was entered yesterday.
The fix is to delete the order and close the app, then re enter order, and code.
Will tomorrow's code be "DINEHARDER"?

So long as you've entered your delivery address at the top of the app, then it'll show all the restaurants that will deliver to you (and their respective delivery fees)

Yay thanks! My local sushi place has a minimum order so I simply ordered an extra $14 worth of food to stuff my face with.
The voucher amount is included in minimum order. Eg. Minimum order is $30, you order $31 and put the code in, you pay $17 and still meet the minimum order
Code was working when I first entered it, went back a minute later and had to re-enter and it says invalid :(

anyone know how to change ingredients on a pizza when ordering through delivery hero? there is an edit button on the item in the cart but it doesn't subtract or plus any money for changing things.. menulog is a lot better system i feel, for customizing..

Tried to order, they took my money then called me and told me the restaurant is closed. This was after my first order just failed for no apparent reason. This 'service' leaves a lot to be desired.
happened to me last week, ordered a pizza, DH couldnt get in contact with the restaurant, told me they'll cancel the order, refund me, and give me another $14 off voucher. So i ordered from another place, then come 8:30, i received 2 pizzas, but only paid for half of one!

3 kebabs delivered for $6.70 is okay even if it did take an hour and a half. If it had cost $20.70 I wouldn't feel so good about it. So probably not.

I was at a mate's place recently, we felt like takeaway and he only knew one restaurant that delivered to his area. Since I had the Delivery Hero App, I was easily able to find around 10 places that would deliver to his address, all with easy to view Menus and prices. Very handy.
But once I find a restaurant that I like, even if I find it using Delivery Hero, I will probably just call them direct if there's no voucher code. Less chance of something going wrong and easier to sort out issues without a middleman.
If the app offered detailed order tracking (e.g. food cooked, out for delivery, location of driver) - would this be more compelling?
From what i noticed when you place an order the delivery time always shows 1hr from order time. You can't really expect Delivery Hero to guarantee delivery since it's all in the restaurants hands once they receive notification of your order. Delivery time varies depending on how many drivers and how busy the restaurant is at the time.
The restaurant confirmed delivery time, so for me, if I haven't got the order by then, its a miss. IMO, the restaurant should be well placed to calculate expected delivery time - I can understand 5-10 minutes here and there but 25 minutes over is not acceptable for me but it may be acceptable to someone else.
So go pay full price and demand your standards. Wait out the front with a stopwatch and refuse
