I called today to KFC Dural to ask whether there was still 12 pieces for $12 deal. The guy said no, but he said that the 9 piece for $9.95 is back next week.
I am not sure if it is just store offering or state/nation wide. Suggest that if you are not a regular KFC eater and feels like having KFC, wait until next week.

my 2 local ones have always had it on Tuesdays and they are local to the OP.

They stopped offering the deal when they did the nugget promo. The next promo was the mixture of original and crispy strips then it was the boneless hot n spicy. Now the 9 for $9.95 is back.

Was pleasantly surprised when I went to KFC Haymarket (Sydney) last night for the 9 for $9.95 and they had the hot n spicy with bones. I had been to another KFC a few weeks ago and they said the boneless had totally replaced the traditional hot n spicy. Not true at Haymarket.

Yeah, my local in QLD never took this deal away. We miss out on all those national coupon deals but at least we've had this.
QLD KFC is run separately to the rest of Australia.
QLD gets Hot n Spicy all year round while NSW only has the few select restaurants that serve it all the time.

Certain stores outside of QLD sell proper Hot n Spicy all year round.
There are a few in Sydney that offer it year round. But not all of them.
WA must offer year round because I've always been able to get it (granted I probably only get KFC 2 times a year).
WA offers H&S all year round. So basically you can get 9 for $9.95 as hot and spicy.
Jumped on this last time, imo KFC nuggets weren't worth the price.

In the rare chance that Hungry Jack's do fry their fresh and well they are the best nuggets of all the fast food chains. But usually they are chewy and sucky.
I find hungry jacks really greasy and the batter is just greasy even when fresh.

If you constantly sip soda while eating it will help with some of the "sickness" feeling. I get a soft serve after I finish eating and the sugar helps too. (not that either of those is a healthy option to allow you to eat more KFC pieces)

I usually go with 2 other friends and also get the 2 large sides for $5 (I'm in QLD). We get 3 chicken pieces each and share the sides. Comes to $5/person and we don't walk away feeling disgusting.
8100kj in one meal. Even KFC's poster says daily requirement is 8700kj, so have some drink with sugar in it and all your food intake for the next 24 hours is sorted.
