KFC 9 Pieces for $9.95 (Tuesdays)

2740

I called today to KFC Dural to ask whether there was still 12 pieces for $12 deal. The guy said no, but he said that the 9 piece for $9.95 is back next week.

I am not sure if it is just store offering or state/nation wide. Suggest that if you are not a regular KFC eater and feels like having KFC, wait until next week.

When you consider the collective long term impact on our public health system, is this still a bargain?

    • +12

      Yes.

  • +3

I received the email from KFC yesterday and the 9pieces for $9 is today . juts not available in TAS

    • +5

Bloody typical. TAS left out again. Life is hard enough as it is down here. Why don't they realize how important 9 pieces for $9.xx is :)

      • TAS is enough of a leech off the mainland, we really need them spending their centrelink on KFC and then paying for the health effects from KFC on top of that.

    • what is a jut?

  • -6

Just thinking about KFC makes me wanna throw up

  • $15 for 9 pieces of chicken, a 1.25l pepsi and a large chips. I'm not going to live long at all.

    • +2

      You're doing it wrong.

Swap the Pepsi for some mashed potatoes or coleslaw.

Buy coke instead, not a fan of Pepsi or Pepsi Max :D

      • +2

        I prefer Pepsi than Coke

        • You carnivore!

  • +2

KFC is always a great idea for dinner, just a really bad one after you've had it.

    • Its like after eating it, your stomach goes on strike and if it could speak it probably say…."WTF have you been eating?? now you figure it out on how to get this out of the system, I've had enough already."

    • Maybe that's why there's something called detox tea that can be found in Asian groceries!!

      • Oolong tea, if that's what you mean?

        • +1

Nutri-Slim Tea (green box) found in all Asian groceries is the equivalent of the detox packets you have every once a month (or week?) About $10 or less for a box of 30 satchets. Lovely fragrant all natural herb tea so nice you wish you could have more than 2 cup but don't. Because you need to be home all day to gallop to the toilet but it really cleanses your guts out. It's called 'dieter's tea' and I think the name is misleading as it does not suppress appetite instead empties your colon system so you are actually slimmer and lighter for a day or 2. To me it's a detox product and not a slimmers' tea. Made in CA, USA not China. Regular strength is very strong, and extra strength (also sold) would be deadly I imagine! One box goes a long long way.

        • @momov3: In order to get slim, many girls and women in my home country drink that $#$# or something similar. It works magically as you described above.

        • @skywards: Oolong tea is a very good tea. It's my favorite because of the natural smell and flavor it gives. Too bad, after finish 1kg I bought in VN I can't find good Oolong tea in Aus or it's way too expensive. I drink jasmine or lotus flavored tea everyday instead.

        • @momov3: I have heard of it, thanks for the info. I find that normal green leaf does similar but not to the extent of emptying your colon.

  • Looks like dinner is sorted after my 5k run tonight :)

    • +2

Looks like you gonna have to run 10k tomorrow……:) :)

      • +1

I took a look at my voluminous guts and decided against the 9 piece tonight :P

        • Oh no, I'm so sorry you had to cancel. However there's always….tomorrow!(offer will be sticking around for sometime yet) As for myself, gym now KFC after. Not sure if I got it the wrong way around, but that's what the time management diary said to me, so be it!

  • +2

I portioned it out to last 3 of my 4 meals of the day. Fits my daily caloric intake need. Obviously isn't the healthiest way but I made it fit. Just take into account the nutritional information for 1 chicken: http://i.imgur.com/iqdh29J.png?1 and try make it fit your daily intake.

    • +2

Exactly. Everything done with moderation cannot be too bad. Besides life is too short and one deserves a treat every now and then.

  • It's also available for order on the KFC xpress App, in participating stores. You can also customise the 2 x sides for $5.

There is also a new Mex Fresh Twister available.

  • AFAIK, this is a regular deal on every Tuesday in Cas, NT since 2 years.

I'm not a fan of KFC but I just bought one box and this time it was huge (1.5 kg in total). Last time I bought (around 3 months ago), it was only 1.2 kg.

I'll wait another 3 months to order as the chook gains 100g each month.

    • +1

The "chook" isn't gaining anything other than oil/grease/fat they cook it in :) I still love the stuff, though!

  • Are they doing the 2 sides for $5 still?

    • Yes they are.

      What are sides, exactly?

      • Large Chips,Large Potato Gravy & Large Coleslaw I think there is 1 other thing, it might be a 1.25L drink

  • +5

Smashed 6 pieces for breakfast. Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg.

    • wat

  • Anyone know if the 2 sides for $5 is available in WA?

  • +1

My local KFC is advertising 9 pieces for $9.99, not $9.95. Should go in there and price match with their own Facebook ad.

    • Man, that's only 4 cent difference. You'll waste time, energy, mobile data, etc. worth more than that if you try to price match. ;) Staff also have a not-so-positive impression of you.

      Just my 2 cents.

      • Even with your 2c, it still gets rounded up to $10 :P

        • You win. I'm done! ;)

I tried the deal Tuesday this week -$9.95 for 9 pieces, and no Hot n Spicy, only the boring original. The lady said Hot n Spicy is not on. I can never understand why KFC doesn't listen to customer feedback and make Hot n Spicy a permanent feature. I think they are afraid less people will buy the original. The crunchy coated one is another one they only bring in ever so occasionally. (Anyway - 2 sides for $5 was quite OK)

  • KFC have applied this offer all week to xpress app users at participating stores. I have created a new thread, as well as link to particpating stores (I know of).
Thank you OP for the original post.

  • Just wondering if this deal allows us to get 2 sides for $5?

    • Yes, I didn't realise until the sweet lady asked. So it was chips and potato mash as usual.

      • That's awesome, thanks!

  • Kingsleys in Canberra have matched KFCs 9 pieces deal. I had pieces from Kingsleys for the first time since I moved here 4 years ago and was pleasantly surprised. Won't make it a regular occurrence though.

  • Does anyone know if the KFC in Macquarie Centre (NSW) does Hot n Spicy chicken?
