Hi looking around for a budget tablet and came across this good deal for work and play! Can buy 4 of these and still be cheaper than the MacBook Air.

Retail stores here selling for $400!

The tablet is sold by Asus and it's free shipping!

Looool no. Price in Au $ is far higher too.

    • yeah $15.16 USD shipping for me.. total is $251.69 USD ~ $316 AUD.. $449 for the "T100TAF" @ MSY.. could be a deal i suppose

  • Quite a good price for a brand new T100TA.
    USD $236 + $15.16 shipping = around AUD $315 shipped

Static Ice shows AUD$329 for a refurb (http://www.wireless1.com.au/promo/mega-laptop-sale/asus-t100…) or $419+ for new http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=T100TA&spos…

Are the June EOFY sales going to be good this year?

  • If the bloated bezel could be trimmed to open a 14-12' display, and full '1080p,' I'd replace the 7in in an instant. It's odd that phones should have greater resolutions.

I'll look forward to a development of these niche devices.

    • Maybe they could replace the crappy Atom with an i5, and add more storage too. And all of a sudden it costs $1000 again. There are tablets that offer that but they aren't $300 with dock.

      • Agree, I am probably looking more to tablets with BT mouse and KB setup. And no more powerful than to last year's phones snapdragon.

Basic stand would suffice as might low expectation for screen on time. Can't recall any line in a 14' factor, even looking to China although this would be nice.

        • The Lenovo Yoga 2 sounds something like that. 13' slate with a weird kickstand, 2560+1440 screen and modest guts, but too expensive for my tastes.

        • Had a browse overseas to find HP Slatebook 14 would be good fill for my desired basic media tab, only ruled out by android 2013. Price not much different than Oneplus+1 I sourced from the states which gets 5.1 OTA in any week. Will abort HP Sb.

  • Screen on these is terrible, I couldn't get used to it and ended up selling mine on gumtree.
