  • Not valid in Thailand :(

    • Nope… which sucks.

  • Got really excited until I realised prices are listed in USD.

However, still managed to get a good discount for accommodation in Port Douglas (Shantara Resort) and better than the last 15% discount at HotelClub.

  • prices in USD?

  • -3

Also they don't include fees and charges in their rates, even though they charge them.

    • You will see all charges before checkout anyway. I'd say it's quite common for US websites.

  • Not valid in Brisbane.

    • +1

I tried Brisbane before posting. It's definitely working.

      • Just rechecked on laptop and works. Phone didn't show any hotels accepting the code.

  • Any other way of avoiding the international transaction fees?

  • The room rate will probably come up just as good if not better due to our weak dollar with the play18 coupon at ratestogo.com as they charge in AU$

    • …particularly when combined with the generous ratestogo generous cashback and cash rewards…

      • Can't get cash back in conjunction with coupon codes as far as I can see :-( The 11.80% cash back is a great alternative to using a coupon code on those hotels that are usually excluded in the fine print e.g. Hilton, sofitel, IHG, etc

  • Cracking deal for me, cheers OP. Booked 6 nights at the Furama in KL and worked out at $44pn with buffet breakfast!.. maybe a price mistake because its usually about 70ish.. Have stayed there once before and got upgraded to an exec suite so fingers crossed it happens again.

    • Not sure of an upgrade but may be a down grade.

  • Not valid in Hong Kong. Any idea of where it is actually valid?

  • I saw a lot bad reviews on this booking website? Anyone use it to book hotel before? Can it be trusted?

    • It's all going through the Orbitz engine so it should be fine.

  • +1

    Great find OP!

Even after allowing for the currency exchange from US$, and any currency conversion fees you may/may not have to pay on c/c bookings - it was significantly cheaper for some upcoming European bookings than the other usual suspects.

Also - is definitely still valid until 25th May and probably beyond if other Orbitz and RatesToGo codes are any inidication.

    Thanks OP.

  • Does anyone know how much the currency conversion fees would be for a visa debit card?
