    Thanks TA,, downloaded AU apps.
Although for me, Amazon apps have become like Amazon e-books or Udemy courses, which I download or register but never use.

Making all of us tech hoarders…

    • +2

      Steam as well…

      • +3

*Looks at steam library of over 300 games
*Realises he has only played 1/2 of them
        *Shudders
        *Back to paying CS:GO

        • +2

Least you played half of them, I think I got through 1% of my free apps. Maybe :p

    • I feel you there brother/sister/fellow … mate :)

It's just like a waste of time unless you specifically want one of them IMO. Sure you have them but in just tends to only slow down finding what I want and do nothing else LOL.

But I'll upvote the deal and please keep posting TA, the effort is at least appreciated … I'll grab the minigolf game since I like mini-golf and there's very few good mobile games (there's a niche for anyone that wants to make a game that isn't served ATM IMO ;)

  • +3

Thanks. Picked up Bloons TD 5, Mirroring360 - AirPlay Receiver and Fleksy Keyboard. Don't think I'd use any of the others.

  • +3

    Thanks OP. My picks are
    * AVG AntiVirus PRO
    * Fleksy Keyboard
    * Alarm Clock Xtreme & Timer
    * Angry Birds Seasons (Ad-Free)
    * Perfectly Clear

    • +3

      Alarm Clock-

      Snooze alarms by:
      On-screen Buttons
      Side Buttons
      Shaking
      Solving Maths Problems

      Gold.

      • +3

Timely has all those, a better UI and is free since Google bought the company.

  • Thanks TA! Had a few, got a few more :)

  • Am new to android phones (just setting up my y550 from previous deal!). Do I need to download the amazon AppStore app before I can download any of these? Just checking as phone is warning 'this type of file can harm your device'.

    • Yes you need the amazon appstore.

    • +3

Yes, Amazon Store (and associated account) is required.

AND ALSO you have to change a setting on the device itself that allows it to install Apps from "outside sources" (ie: not from Google Play Store).

      • For some reason even after enabling allow installs from unknown sources I am still unable to install the perfectly clear app.

        • Could be a compatibility issue with that app on your phone. Try different apps and make sure they work.

        • I think it was a storage issue I still had about 1 gig available but must have not been for apps. Deleted a couple of apps I wasn't using then it installed.

Just set up a y550 for someone. I am stunned at how clear the screen is, only 840x480 but absolutely fine

  • +1

    yep download amazon appstore
register an amazon acc, setup the 1-click buy via their web, and just click on all those games/app, who knows it mag be useful one day :-)

  • Many thanks ausbob and vodanh. Much appreciated.

  • +1

    Thanks, my top picks:
    - Five Nights at Freddy's 3
    - Sorcery! 3
    - Star Command

  • Thanks TA! Glad I waited before buying Sorcery! 3 - Inkle (The developer) are pretty good at giving their games away.
I will have to wait until later to pick the apps up on the US store, as I got sucked in early and have a bunch of apps on the US store and can be bothered switching (as ADK says probably wont use most of the apps, but free is free)

  • Bugger no Plex

    • I paid for the plex app and its useless it worked for a week and hasn't since I have to cast from my laptop to the tv now.

      • Are you signed in on the media server ?
Only time I had a problem was when the server was not signed in. Now I can watch on any of my devices (Android and iOS) and even at a mates house via web browser (plex.tv)

        • Yes. The app can't find my server on the same network have tried everything.

      • +1

It's been made permanently "free" for quite a while now. You need to either have a Plex Pass or buy an IAP to unlock the full functionality. However not everyone may need those extra functions.

        From the app listing:

        Free functionality:
        • Unlimited flinging of photos and videos from the Camera Roll on your phone or tablet to Plex apps on Roku, Android TV, Fire TV, and Plex Home Theater (coming soon to Xbox One, Playstation, and other apps).
        • Unlimited flinging of any media on your Plex Media Server (free download available at https://plex.tv/downloads) to other supported Plex Apps.
        • Remote control your big screen Plex Apps.
        • LIMITATION: Playing media from your Plex Media Server on the device running this app is limited (one minute for music and video, watermark on photos) until the app is unlocked.

        Unlocked functionality:
        • Unlock unlimited streaming to your phone or tablet with a Plex Pass subscription that includes many other premium features (available at https://plex.tv/plexpass) -OR- a small one-time in-app purchase.

Sorcery 3 … nice. Still not completed Sorcery 2 yet.

  • anyone know why I have the geographic restriction error? All my default address and default amazon store have been set to Aus already….

    "We are sorry…
We could not process your order because of geographical restrictions on the product which you were attempting to purchase. Please refer to the terms of use for this product to determine the geographical restrictions.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you."

    • Yeah I got that error too but only for GoT.

      • Same error but I changed my country to Spain(Amazon settings) and I got it.

        Edit:
If you change your country to Spain then use this link http://www.amazon.es/Telltale-Games-Game-Thrones/dp/B00QR1SU…

        • Thanks is the game 'Game of Thrones' a keep or a just a play and store. At the moment I can download us/au without changing addresses. Why - I haven't a clue and do not want to rock boat. Thanks for this and TA.

Thanks! I'd highly recommend Perfectly Clear to anyone who hasn't got it.

  • None of the apps show up as free. Not sure how to change region within the Amazon app.

  • Only issue is that Amazon apps gets late/never updates compared to APK and Play store.

Is this true? I am a little confused.
I do understand Google does make it clear that they do support the free apps in their "app of the day" deals.
I also understand Google would like to remove any competition.

I have found that the Amazon "app of the day" apps do get updated and/or are the same version on the Google "app of the day" apps and have the same features as the later released Google one.

Both "app of the day" deals have games where you get "free" credits to make up for expensive upgrades they would like to entice you into buying. So in these cases you can still end up paying for things if you choose to.
Sometimes, some expensive apps are only released on the Amazon "app of the day" deal for free. (This probably applies to Google too.)

I am happy to be corrected by anyone who can advise me.
Thanks for the information from those above about their favourite apps.

      RUBBISH.

I pretty much get spammed to death in my notifications bar daily of all the Amazon Apps that require updates.

    there are mostly different versions

same goes for shuttle+ app which was free last time.
