    If you roughly equate 10,000 points to $100. (That's roughly how much you would save by booking flights.) Then most of the products on sale become standard price.

    I guess if you do not fly much than this may arguably be better than buying gift cards.

      Whenever I estimate values I put gift card redemptions around 0.6c/pt which is about 16,666 per $100

      Getting 1c/pt isn't all that bad and probably beats out many economy flight redemptions once considering taxes and/or other carriers.
