For postcode 4210, Classic is $79 & Elite is $50.

    • Same. Are the web prices location specific, or are the discount prices instore only?

Location specific. Probably Box Hill, Vic again?

        Try 3128 Postcode.

$59 and $79 in WA (Mandurah)

    • Same at Adelaide Airport

I have one similar from AGL, its hard to connect it your mains if they are behind a panel. You might need a qualified Electrician.

  • I own one of these and they are great for monitoring our energy usage. I would definitely recommend this product. +1

So which is better? I would normally think Elite in the title means it offers something more than the Classic, yet it's cheaper?

same question here. the description on masters' website is useless.

        Found this

The E2 classic loses temperature and humidity, gains data download and software to monitor it, doubles storage to 24 months and halves the monitors battery life.

        • +1

The E2 software is garbage, by all accounts. The Elite can be upgraded to give real time web monitoring (which I have and find very useful).
I would definitely get the elite.

        • @mskeggs: just had a quick google and couldn't find out how - is it a firmware update etc? please give details on how to upgrade the elite, thank you!

        • @gizmomelb:
It requires the purchase of a separate device that connects via ethernet:
          http://efergy.com/au/products/engage-hub-solo#.VVlgGdOqqko

Although it looks like the upgrade now works on both the e2 and elite.

        • @mskeggs: thanks for that.. I did find some interesting sites where they have decoded the radio signals that the sensor sends, and then use a Raspberry Pi (or windows software) to log and graph the power usage. Migth make for an interesting project.. but the idea is to lessen the amount of power used, not run more devices to monitor it :)

EDI: $40 and $59 repsectively for the efergy power monitors at Masters in Box Hill, Vic.

        • @gizmomelb: message is to old to edit, so I'll reply to myself.

Went to Box Hill Masters and took a while to find them, but bought an E2 Classic, was only charged $40 for it :)

Elite says $59 for Braybrook, Victoria.

  • We had one of these installed years ago when QLD gov was supplying for cheap. Great idea but the batteries last about a month.
    Is this normal?

  • Mostly useless toy, as they don't allow for Power Factor.

So they measure kVAh and not kWh - means you will not know exacty how many Watts you are saving.

Don't forget an extra 5% discount for Woolworths staff!! Great Bargain!

  • Brought one, but couldn't connect it to the smart meter - no active wire showing
