  • I guess it's nice if you really need 20 months BT….

      Get a Citibank Credit Card
Use their 0% Balance Transfer as Cheque to Self
Get a St George Vertigo Platinum
Use their 0% Balance Transfer on the Citibank card
Use the Citibank 0% Balance Transfer as Cheque to Self again

      • So long as the $198 in annual fees doesn't bother you.

        • If you borrow 4000 on each card for 8000 total, $198 is 2.5%. Even if you just chucked it into UBank you'd make a profit

You could do a HSBC Platinum Credit Card instead - 0% BT for 8 months, no annual fee.

That's what I did before my current St George 16 month 0% BT (which expires shortly, so I may take this current offer up again… Stgeorge —> HSBC —> St George)

It's an even better deal if you're a St George Advantage Package Home Loan customer (like I am)…

$0 annual fee (save $99) in addition to the 20 months interest free BT

no flyer points…. only applies to the amplify cc range

  • Potentially a good deal depending on the credit limits available. Does anyone know how generous / much they offer?

Could provide savings vs my home loan.
