It's a bargain because right now it's not available cheaper anywhere else.
Mind you, it still seems extremely dodgy to me that they've had it for $39 so many times, yet once this coupon shows up it's suddenly exactly (1/0.85)*$39.
Keeping in mind Chromecast 2 was mentioned in talks leading up to Google I/O next weekend.
The new Chromecast looks to be very good…

But of course, if you need one now…the original post seems to be a good price.
Where's the bargain??? I've seen chromecast a few dollars cheaper than this many times.
