      No, I don't work at Big W, but I am an employee of Woolworths Ltd.
      Yes, you can get this 10% discount by bringing along the flyer and scan the barcode, but unfortunately you can't get the Apple deals unless you know a Woolworths employee.

      You need a Woolworths Staff discount card, and then you present that at a Big W in order to get the discounted MacBook.

      they only do it during these staff sale events. Basically what happens is you purchase the MacBook and the store gets supplied the quantity sold in a week or so.

      They're not a stocked item, Special order just for this sale. We use to get a great deal on mac when Woolworths owned Dick Smiths. But when they sold it they started doing the mac discounts this way. It's good for kids starting uni etc.

    Just want to make sure I'm clear on how this works:

    In order to get the apple products listed at the bottom of the printout, you have to have a staff discount card.
    Otherwise, the barcode at the top can be used by anyone on everything save the items in the Terms & Condidtions.

    Correct?

      Excellent! In that case, Woolworths employees aren't getting the best possible deal from this staff-only promotion. No loss to most Ozbargainers :)

      The original post was intended to only focus on the Big W 10% storewide discount which is available to family and friends. A mention of the staff-only Apple deal would've breached Ozb posting guidelines.

      Yeah Kmart have refreshed most of their stores near me, the Targets have usually tried to maintain things, but most Big W stores around me just decay without any of the staff/management seeming to care.

      Big W & K-Mart have refreshed their local stores near me about a year ago. They are now quite similar & I'm not a fan of both. The older versions were easier to navigate & had more variety of men's clothing which was better quality. Since then I haven't bought any clothing from them.

    if you plan to buy full price item, you can call on Thursday morning and put your items on hold for 48 hours. So less chance of it getting sold out.

    Although it is against the company's policies, depending on who you talk with, you might be able to do the same with sale items.

    I can't print it, can I just save it to my phone and have them scan in from the screen? I used to do that with my temporary Dan Murphy's card.

        I liked the humour of that deal, wasn't a serious pos vote.

        I think I get this Big W deal now, the appeal seems to be combining sale offers with the additional 10% off.
