      I was around when they left Australia,
      they pulled the phone line, and within 24 hours, i couldnt order batteries, ac adaptors, and we around 40 machines at work that we had to throw in the bin.
      Now ACer has bought them (double negative for that) so i think its just the same crappy products redone,
      No disrespect to Mwave or the the OP, my issue is with Gateway.

  Gateway offers only return to base warranty. that means you have to take your laptop to the service centre and collect it yourself too.

  gateway is fine …it's cheap but stylish brand …i brought one from US two years ago and it still running strong …i hope the quality hasn't changed now its with Acer, but i presume the support will be better because acer has been in australia for a while

  i upgraded my laptop yesterday with the other gateway deal posted (same laptop), so paid a lil bit more :( damnit haha, but still a good deal to me!!

  if u can't pick up from mwave, go to gateway site and look up local resellers u might be able to get a company to price match so u can pick up … e.g. infinity computers is in sth melbourne and has stock

  I can't believe this. Mwave just jack up their shipping cost to $30.45 for AAE and $20 for Toll Ipec. I was charged only for $16 shipping to VIC before. I also can order 2 with the same shipping cost.

  Sorry about the shipping cost. Actually what happen was the person who did the product specifications put in the wrong weight therefore making the shipping cost incorrect.

  Therefore we have updated the weight which will make the shipping cost a little bit more expensive.

  If you are in Sydney & don't want to wait for the shipment you are welcome to come here to pick it up. (also there is no $3 handling fee)

  I can order 2 laptop before but now I can only place order for 1, price will change if I order more than 1. My friend and I intend to buy these laptop together to save on shipping cost but we could not anymore. I hope that mwave reconsider this.
