for those that missed out on this.

I bought another G90C $78 USD approx. 100 AU with 28 deg:
http://www.gearbest.com/car-dvr/pp_110175.html
Quick specs:
GPS position and speed
Best A7 chip in its class
2304x1296p 30fps
1080p @ 30 or 60FPS
HDR (quickly changes exposure without leaving over/under exposed like the G1W series which I use as rear view cam)
18 bitrate from memory, good balance between clarity and file size
Says up to 32gb card but im using a 64gb in mine

Note: Suction cup may need a smear of water or vaso to help keep the seal. Also the charger can cause interference on some radio's like mine but was OK in the mrs car. I use a USB cable and adapter which sorts the issue. I paid about $115 AU for mine December last year and also had the G90 base version which I gave to dad. Open files in the supplied software or in AVI, WMP does not play sound

They also have the Nitecore I2 charger for $12 USD

  • That charger may actually be what I want. Have been needing an 18650 trickle charger with Aus plugs on it.

It has a US cord so its the flat prongs. I either bend them with pliers, use an old laptop power bank cord or cut the end off and solder an AU plug to it. Most of the time I bend the prongs because its a 5 second fix but it might leave a 2-3mm gap when plugged in

      • I used to bend them too but I realised how flimsy those prongs can be on some so I stopped. May just buy a multi pack of AU male plugs and rewire them.

or buy a pin adapter plug at any cheapie store for like a buck. Pretty easy really.

      • I find the adapters to be pretty shoddy. The prongs usually aren't taught and don't hold the US plugs in very well. Either that or they fall out of the Aussie wall sockets.

    • I have the i4 (same but holds 4 batts) but the AAAs neeed to go in on a funny angle to make contact. If you have few more $$ look at http://www.gearbest.com/chargers-batteries/pp_71595.html its does cycling and all. Plus you can run it off 12v for camping or using an AU power pack if you funny about using adaptors.
