  • FYI: Costco $759.99 they have a $20 coupon i think. Not sure when it expires

  • This probably isn't the best place to ask but what is a really good vacuum cleaner for a large house with a long haired dog?

    • +1

Is handy! Long haired dog is not a problem. The problem is around the battery life, set to MAX mode last around 6 to 10 mins, which should last you around 50 sqm.

Again, is about the handy and quick operation, if u gonna do the whole house I wouldn't buy it.

For a large house + a dog you would definitely need a corded/mains-powered vacuum with a powerhead (or at the very least a turbohead that is air driven). This is because you will find that no cordless vacuum (Dysons included) can last long enough to finish vacuuming a large house properly. From what I have read in reviews (via productreview.com.au) I would say try a Miele S5, S6 or S8, just make sure that it comes with a powerhead or turbohead and that you don't buy from Godfreys or HarveyNorman (both have terrible aftersales support). From a quick search, David Jones sell an appropriate model. See:

Also, Miele vacuums do not make that high pitched squeal Dysons make, and are bagged too so this means very little dust escaping when you empty it.

      • Thanks guys!!!

  • 769.10 is definately not a bargin! Bought mine on Amazon works out to be around 560 AUD few weeks ago.

    • I got mine for $584.35 from Dyson Australia with a 2 year local warranty and free delivery.
I would much prefer that than import from the US.

  • there has also been 30% through dyson directly or 20% off through DJs + free toolkit . This isn't even 20% off..

  • Bought one of these at Myer a few weeks back during their $15 off every $75 sale. Fantastic vacuum cleaner, would definitely recommend. Although battery would be problematic if you lived in a larger house. Perfect for my townhouse.

  • If anyone has ANZ Rewards they have the V6 Absolute listed for less points than the V6 Animal, assume they have stuffed up somehow! I purchased today before they realise.

just a heads up that if anyone is going to the Good food and Wine show, the dyson popup store will have 35% off on a number of their products, one of which is the v6 absolute. I was quoted around 585 for the absolute at the good food and wine show in melbourne.
