syd to bkk one way $150 very impressive!

problem is the 22 hour wait to get the connecting flight from SIN to BKK. Need to get a room somewhere.

      • +7

Ditch that leg and jump on air Asia flight to DMK after scoot lands. flight is prob cheaper than a hotel in SIN.

        • yeah, your probably right, good one!!!

        • @TilacVIP: Last time I had an overnight layover in Changi and stayed at a hotel in the Transit area, was S$40 (single). Yes, of course an AirAsia flight is the go if timing is right.

    • Dates?

    • which date?

return for about $300. Singapore airport is huge, I guess you could kill time they have showers there, putt putt, movies, heaps of stuff.

      • i'm calling bullshit.
your picture does not tell the whole story.
i think those prices are excluding tax.
        more evidence required.

thanks for your unjustified neg vote

        • You sure your picture isn't including a return leg?

        • -1

          @ajdlinux: quite sure… http://i.imgur.com/hErBYqf.jpg

fare is $156 plus all those taxes = $279
I have added a random return leg to get to the $453 shown.

$150 SYD-BKK would be VERY impressive as the first commenter notes, but as yet there has been NO PROOF of such a fare - either one-way or part of a return trip.

I would agree that if you are going to be stuck in an airport in transit then Singapore is one of the better ones to be stuck in.

    • incl taxes? what date?

  • Can't seem to find any cheap tickets from Singapore to Sydney around October/November :(

  • -1

I have checked many dates and can only seem to get that price on the return leg.

    • +3

The fares are only valid from Singapore back to Australia, as per the title of the deal.

      • yeah, only 1 way :(

        • A quick search resulted in a one way flight from Sydney to Singapore costing $429. Doesn't make it a deal if looking for a SYD - SIN return if you compare it to their usual Tuesdays $199 one way ticket price. Pity. :(

        • @endlesstrail: it can definitely be done, if $138sgd is ok: http://imgur.com/wKxsRf3

Just depends when you want to go…

        • 138 plus tax, etc

        • @em: Right! I chose December. Should have tried dates outside of the school holidays! :p

  • Hong Kong return at $460 in Feb 16.
Great prices on ScootBiz seats on homeward leg.

    • Having done scoot biz return to singapore I have to say it was quite a bit more money for almost bugger all. Slightly more leg room and a usb socket in the seat is about it.

      • agree, but for this sale it is $50 more than cattle, and for that you get bag and food, which is worth the better part of that $50, so well worth it (this time, for the return leg only).

      • I've done Scoot Biz from Gold Coast to Singapore and back in the 777. I found that Scoot's idea of business class is nothing like a 'real' airline's (Qantas, SIA et al) business class. Just, as you say, Scoot Biz offers a lot more legroom, a significantly larger seat, meal included, wifi included, baggage included.

When I booked, I did two bookings in separate browsers in parallel for my flights. In one window I started with an economy class seat and worked through the drip-pricing system adding everything I wa-needed, and at the same time, in the other window, starting with business class. At the end, the total price difference for two passengers between business and economy return OOL-SIN was about $270 (ie: $67.50/pax/flight). I was also able to book for two of us OOL-SIN return for less than I could book one of us with Qantas or SIA.

When you do the sums that way, Scoot Biz is definitely worth the extra money. Obviously, YMMV depending on timing, wants/needs, availability, etc, etc, but this is my story!

    Read promo email before posting.
Buy departing flight at normal price and get the return leg with the promo price…

    • I could find return fares from the Gold Coast to Singapore for $308, so even if you have to purchase the outbound leg at a higher price, $308 return to Singapore is still a very good fare.

I don't want to crash this thread so I won't post any links, but there are plenty of $285 for Gold Coast to Singapore return. Eg 28/Aug ret 3/Sep

It's OK. We know where you live.

  • Search different months SING-SYD Cheapest $138 SGD plus tax ~ $226 SGD ~ $216 AUD. Can't find any ticket at $85. If someone found, please take screenshot!

only works for the return leg of a return booking AUS->SIN->AUS:
      example: http://i.imgur.com/YBG9Ytm.jpg
      lots of other dates available.

does not work for one-way flights.

      • Thanks mate. Figure out it needs to be return ticket. One way from Singapore is at normal price.

  • I booked a September flight PER> SNG > PER via Scoot last month and now it is showing it to be almost $200 cheaper.

Any way to OZB my way to the cheaper price?

    • a death certificate is about the only way.

I thought repatriation was pretty expensive!

    • Price match with Jetstar, and get 10% off.
Got flights MELB > SING for $262.
      ON the new Dreamliners, too.

      • One way or return?

      never look back

  • Looking to get to BKK using this special from the Gold Coast: Aug 1 to Aug 14 $440 (no extras) return with Scoot and Air Asia. No long waiting times in between connecting flights and no need for accommodation in SIN. Scoot fares $268, Air Asia ~$172. Possible option of spending the extra $50 to upgrade to Scoot Biz on the return leg from SIN to OOL.

  • Is there a problem with the site? I tried to book a flight but on clicking the "next" button, the page refreshed to the home page. Now the $85 return prices are gone.
