  Have you tried them? how does the reversing cam compare with the Aldi version?

  Most reversing cam have this resolution..based on my experience..

    Tried it before. The image is 640 x 480, interpolated to 1280x1024 using built in firmware.

    Basically it's a Standard Definition camera but with a bit of software trickery, allows the manufacturer to advertise it as a High Def camera.

    It certainly is no G1W-C and even at $29 shipped still seems a bit of a ripoff.

    Yep had the dashcam…quickly upgraded to a G1WC…for a few extra dollars you get so much more.

  how do people deal with a dash cam with a lcd screen?

    It folds away, you don't have it visible all the time, only when setting it up, playback etc.

    Mine is mounted behind the rear vision mirror…you don't notice it.

    It folds back obviously and doesn't stay in the entire time. Good for aiming the thing properly and adjusting things like exposure
