Just the normal price. Same as gearbest. "on sale 65%" ? - don't be so gullible.

Note that windows is either not activated, or pirated.

Windows 8.1 with Bing - not pirated, free with this type of hardware.

He is refering to the fact microsoft give tablet makers free win 8.1 bing licenes for tablets 8“ or smaller and this is the version being loaded on most of these micro pc`s there is a good chance ms will block your bios activation down the track and you will have to cough up $20us to keep using windows

I got the pipix7 ….. theses small devices come with 32 bit win 8.1 bing they aren't pirated Microsoft do a sweet deal on these entry level devices to compete against chrome books and android smart TV boxes loads windows patches etc fine

    • hi, how is the pipix7? does it play 1080p movies without lag?

      • Yes, easily.

    • Got any evidence of that? All I can find online relates to tablet licenses. And many chinese companies are using tablet volume licenses on devices not covered.

  • I have the PiPo 32gb, Ainol 32gb, (strange name), RKM MK36 (dual android/win 16gb/16gb using PiPo inside) and VOYO 64gb.
These mini PC's do perform well considering the CPU/Menory etc.
All Stream well, Netflix Win8 app.
These boxes worth a look at if your hunt for a new toy.
All model mentioned have Licence, Win10 running on Voyo easy.
Fun device for that spare TV/Monitor

    • Does yours overheat?

  • If I use it as a video player (streaming from by NAS by wifi), is the wifi speed OK?
Will play rmvb, as the current wdtv cannot.

Does it support remote control? Does it start quickly? Does it have a output for component or VGA (the TV is a bit old).

    Thanks.

    • Don't know about the wifi speed, I'm guessing it should be enough for streaming 720p video, maybe even full HD.

Start time as with any windows PC depends on installed software. Should be around 15-30 seconds (cold start) or 1-3 seconds to wake up from sleep.

You can get a remote like this (make sure it works with windows 8):

Or buy a small BT keyboard with touchpad, they are from $15 on ebay.

You will also need an HDMI->VGA converter.

  • Pipo and VOYO get warm the Newer RKM MK36 is a PIPO buy they have better heat dissipation.
