MUDCRAB_MERCHANT_$500OFF

Hi OzBargain,

Mudcrab Merchant asks and we listen, not sure about Lord and King marshmallow's requests though… An all rounder future-proofed rig available today with plenty of options to suit your liking and needs. Lots and lots of inclusions typically not available for OzBargain due to its price premium. We've done the best we can and hope this deal will reach the right audience on OzBargain. The rig is DIY friendly for future upgrades and changes and doesn't skip on features and inclusions just to bring the price down as low as possible. I've listed out and explained all inclusions below.

✅ CPU: 7600/x, 9600/x
  • Even better with the base model offering CPU as the Ryzen 7 7700 with more cores and better performance than the 7600X. It has similar performance to the 9600X with better multi-core performance
✅ GPU: 9060 xt / 5060 Ti 16gb VRAM
  • Done, both GPU offerings are available in the system build. 16GBs of VRAM is the talk of the town for future proofing. The 8GB variant of the 9060 XT is also available for -$120.
✅ Mobo: ATX with minimum 2xM.2 slots, and solid VRMs for potential higher TDP CPU upgrade, wifi & BT (that's been reviewed by reputable reviewers so we know what we're buying, eg, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUUVW7wgR3s ).
  • Base model has the GIGABYTE B650 EAGLE AX ATX that comes with a 12+2+2VRM setup, which is well more than enough for potential higher TDP CPUs upgrades. This is one of the best VRM setups available on the market on OzBargain. The motherboard has also been reviewed and covered by Hardware Unboxed in the video linked and passed their testing for thermals. It has 2x M.2 slots and ATX in size. For users that don't require the inclusions of this motherboard, an option to swap to the well capable MSI B650M Gaming PLUS Wi-Fi is also available for -$40.
✅ RAM: 32GB CL30 DDR, with down grade option for 16GB CL30 DDR
  • Base model comes with KLEVV FIT V 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL28 DDR5 - White with even lower timings than the overall highly demanded online consensus for CL30 timing. A 16GB (2x8GB) option of 6000MHz is also available for downgrade for -$45; however, not CL30 timing as it isn't widely available and not OzBargain friendly pricing, unfortunately.
✅ M.2 SSD: something that's been reviewed by reputable reviewers so we know what we're buying. Options for boot drive and secondary drive.
  • Base model comes with 1TB Kingston NV3 M.2 (R: 6000MB/s | W: 5000MB/s) which is reputable, affordable and reliable. There are many reputable reviews available online on this SSD. It is manufactured by the world's largest independent manufacturer of memory and storage products.
✅ Case: ATX, airflow case with PWM quiet fans, 3x120mm or 2x140mm front intake, 1x120mm or 1x140mm rear fan. No propriety connectors. Support for top mounted min 240mm AIO.
  • Base model comes with MSI MAG FORGE AIRFLOW 321R ATX - Black which features PWM quiet fans, 3x 120mm front intake and 1x 120mm rear fan. The case also supports up to 360mm AIO's top mounted. The case uses a hub to connect all fans; however, it doesn't have proprietary connectors.
✅ Cooler: minimum Deepcool AK400 with upgrade option for AIO
  • Base model cooler is the DeepCool AK400 air cooler, and AIO options are available inclusive of budget friendly ones.
✅ PSU: minimum B tier modular or semi-modular from Cultists Network (https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/)
  • Base model PSU is the MSI A750GL 750W 80+ Gold. It is completely modular and is ATX 3.1 and PCIE 5.1 ready. It isn't on the Cultists Network list; however, it is widely regarded as B-tier on other PSU tier lists like the SPL's one - https://gyazo.com/9ea374442e2e36750a189dee65574a6f. Upgrade to the MSI A850GL 850W 80+ Gold available for just $40 for even more headroom for future upgrades. The 750W unit is already well more than enough for the current demand the rig has, and upgrades upwards of an RTX 5070 Ti/5080.

Incoming marshmallow rant, any moment now lads…

    • You beat them to it 😆.

    • +6

Don’t worry I’ll do it for them

      “$300 7800x3d $600 5070, this should be $800” /s

      • ty

      • -5

        Oh dang, I guess OzBs should just fork out $1.6k for a 7700 9060 XT build or $3.4k for a 7800X3D 5080 deal 👌

        • I think you'd be really good in our industry, if you're not working in our industry already I strongly suggest considering. You'd crush it here for sure haha 😁. Always good to have more competition in the market!

          • -4

@Nebula PC: Except I have. I mentioned many times before I used to work as an affiliate marketer for your kind with procurement and sales. I'm literally insider knowledge.

          • +3

@Nebula PC: He does the custom gaming computers in house at Harvey Norman?

  • +1

Please bring back the $1288 RTX5070 with i5 deal from June. (Sounds like from your post you may be open to taking requests).

    • +1

Not possible at this stage sorry, that deal wasn't by us, and competition is strong in the market. Sometimes we are better and sometimes we are not. I strongly suggest purchasing from the retailer that has the most suitable offering when the time is right.

  • +2

Come one marshmallow… its been 10 mins since they posted

    • A bit slow today, very surprised.

    • It's his day off today.

      • -4

I commented 11 mins ago, you commented 2 mins ago. Dang the F brigade is out today.

  • -6

Mudcrab Merchant asks and we listen, not sure about Lord and King marshmallow's requests though…

Huh? Who asked for an 9060 XT deal that now costs $1.6k wtf?

    • -3

Ngl I'm all for brigading but this price for 9060xt is not really a deal

  • Someone please explain to me how an AMD motherboard can support PCIe 5.1. It was my understanding that no AMD processors do, just some of the recent generations of Intel. In fact it isn't even an official standard, just an Intel enhancement to 5.0.

    • PCIe 5.1 is referring to the PSU support - the MSI A750GL 750W 80+ Gold.

  • +1

Thank you for doing an ATX build

    • 😁, I hope it reaches the right people on OzBargain. Typically, ATX builds won't have much traction due to its price point. We've done the best we can in price, and trying to meet the large needs and wants of the market.

      • -6

Lol that's a load of BS. "ATX" by itself doesn't mean it'll necessarily be pricier. There are "mATX" components are that pricier by virtue of being sized less. The components listed here are standard.

        • 😁

      • +1

Not to be a real Marshmallow - but any chance of a downgrade to say a 7600x or 7500F for those that dont need 8 cores?

        • +3

Sure, I'll add a 7500F downgrade option. It wasn't requested by Mudcrab Merchant, I thought the consensus was that people wanted a beefier CPU rather than the always used 7500F.

          • +1

@Nebula PC: I like ALL the options available like a greedy little monster :D

If you could do this build next it would be great too - and in honour of marshmallow - Make it stupid cheap

            9600x
            B650/B850 ATX thats good
            Thermalright Phantom Spirit Cooler
32GB 6000 CL30 of Black ram like Teamgroup or something
            9070XT 16GB
            850W Gold PSU
            2tb storage

And then dont put it in a case because I already have one and just ship all the parts to me as a DIY Special :P

            • @Fergy1987: 😆, I am not sure if we can do that sorry. It'll have to come with a case and be completely working before despatch, we've had too many issues with DIY/parts only orders, and our business isn't set up for it. I would recommend purchasing parts only through multiple retailers that have the best pricing. I don't think our business can be of service to you, sorry :(.

              • @Nebula PC: Ok I will accept the case and already built - I shall await the deal.

  • Hi doesn't have an option to select the RTX 5060 Ti GPU

  • I eventually want to get a BYO GPU PC and have been keeping half an eye on your ones for a while, but just noticed it's expired! I'm not in a huge rush just yet but any chance there'll be more BYO GPUs at some point in the future?

    • +1

The deal for the BYO GPU build is still active and the code will work! It's just marked as expired, I'll send a report to the moderators for that to be fixed up now.

      • Ah, awesome! Thanks so much, that makes it easy!

  • Techfast has a PC with 7500f + 5060ti 16gb for $1180. Hard to beat this price/performance

    • +1

Yep, very hard. That one is a fantastic deal, I would strongly suggest that people purchase there if they are satisfied with the inclusions, service and are price driven. There are a few comments noting some issues on that deal post however, they may be resolved now. This deal isn't focused on the lowest possible price unfortunately, and I do expect not much popularity with it as it isn't perceived as a typical bargain for the general OzBargain community.

    • -2

Hell even Nebula'a other 9060 XT deal is better than this shite.

  • What would you recommend among these two GPUs: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB vs. GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB

      • It really depends on your needs. In terms of raw performance, the other deal will be much better value for you, and I'd suggest looking at our other deals if you're after performance only. This deal is more suited for people who want future-proofing, DIY workability and the additional features that may or may not have any effect on performance.

        • Thanks. Can you do this for me?

💭 If you want the best of both worlds, you could negotiate with Nebula to swap the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB for an RTX 5070 while keeping their better warranty & ATX board — that would make it a superior all‑rounder.

          • @Techefy: The best price is the price we list on OzBargain sorry, there's no room to move at all. I think you have a good understanding now of which one may be more suitable for you!

            • @Nebula PC: No worries. Thanks for considering and for maintaining the competitiveness!

  • I asked GPT 5 to analyze these two PCs:

💡 Analysis for Your Use Case

    1. Software Development

Both have the same CPU and RAM capacity — more than enough for compiling code, running local dev servers, and multitasking.

Nebula’s motherboard (B650 EAGLE AX) and 3‑year warranty are better for reliability and future upgrades.

Faster SSD in Nebula may slightly improve build times and large dataset loading.

    1. AI / Machine Learning Enthusiast

    GPU compute power matters here.

The RTX 5070 (PC1) is ~25–30% faster than the RTX 5060 Ti in AI frameworks like TensorFlow/PyTorch (CUDA core count, memory bandwidth).

Although PC2 has 16GB VRAM (useful for larger models), its slower core performance means that for most AI workloads, PC1 will finish tasks faster unless your models exceed 12GB VRAM frequently.

    1. Gaming

RTX 5070 is significantly better for 1440p and entry‑level 4K gaming with ray tracing.

RTX 5060 Ti is fine for 1080p and some 1440p, but will struggle on the most demanding titles at high settings.

The 5070’s extra raw GPU power is a bigger win here than PC2’s extra VRAM.

    ✅ Recommendation
For software development + AI + gaming, I’d recommend:

Pick PC1 – TechFast RTX 5070 build if AI performance and gaming frame rates are the priority. The extra GPU power benefits both deep learning and modern AAA games.

Pick PC2 – Nebula RTX 5060 Ti build only if longer warranty, better motherboard, and more VRAM are more important than max performance, or if you plan to run AI models that need >12GB VRAM constantly.

💭 If you want the best of both worlds, you could negotiate with Nebula to swap the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB for an RTX 5070 while keeping their better warranty & ATX board — that would make it a superior all‑rounder.

  • @nebula: Thank you and well done. A well balanced and solid gaming PC for 1080p/1440p at a great price. As you say - "DIY friendly for future upgrades and changes". Will run on the cool / quiet side. Can see this one lasting a gamer for 5+ years (or longer with a GPU upgrade in the future). Very happy to recommend this this one to family, friends colleagues, and on other forums. Hope you sell ship loads.

Thank you for your suggestion and support Mudcrab Merchant! I always try my best to target all segments, this one I think might not be a huge hit but hopefully reaches the right audience.

      • I'm going to agree on this. I think it's not as attractive of a deal as your other ones. Curious what led to interest in this from mudcrab
Anyway if you get a few sales from this it's good.
On positive note the mobo is a good one to have in your inventory. The after pay deal has made 7800x3d sub $500 closing in on AliExpress so building a PC on sales like this make PC builder comparison a bit trickier.

  • @maverickjohn "Curious what led to interest in this from mudcrab"

TL;DR My experience of 40 years building and repairing gaming PCs is PCs that run cool and quiet will have a much longer life, far fewer problems and perform better than those that run hot and noisy. This build is not perfect but it will perform well at 1080p/1440p and I'm happy to recommend it family, friends and colleagues.

Most pre-builts by the volume builders take a brute-force approach to gaming - they headline an up-spec CPU and GPU (to show value) but cheap out on all the other components, especially the motherboard, case, case fans and PSU, but those components are critical to ensuring CPU and GPU run effectively. Those components are also crucial to ensuring the PCs can be upgraded in future. Too many pre-builts are 3 years away from e-waste.

For example, in a mATX case, a GPU sandwiched against PSU shroud that starves it of air is likely to be huge problem. Combine that with bargain bin Asus Prime mobos with anaemic VRMs and high heat M.2 SSDs - you get the idea.

Then there's the good folk (some not all) that insist this CPU or GPU is better than that CPU or GPU because they watched a video on TikTok or youtube but don't have a clue about what the test system, methodology and benchmark are saying.

Anyways, this Nebula pre-built is one I'm happy to tell family, friends and colleagues to buy at this price, and aside from any individual component failure, I'm confident it will serve them well for many years, with good upgrade options.

    • +1

Thank you for explaining. I wasn't expecting it but I do appreciate it.
I was actually most pleased with the mobo and Ram in this combo and hope to see it in more builds.
All your points are valid. I was taken aback on the lower end CPU and GPU for an otherwise nice build. I think 7800x3d with a 9070xt for a few hundred extra would have made it nicely well rounded for a solid 3-4 year lifespan at 1440p.
But your response was well appreciated.

  • Hi Nebula, I need some advice. I am overwhelmed by the options.

I don't play any games. I typically open 5 programs at the same time (MS Word, Excel, Access, Chrome and Firefox, sometimes also Powerpoint). I may play Youtube video.
I don't think I need any video card. Can I use the graphic function of the CPU?
I need a 2TB hard disk for data. I think I need 32GB RAM or 1 TB SSD.
I hate flashing lights in the case etc. I prefer to have several USB C ports and 2 USB A ports (for mouse and keyboard). I have a 2.5G LAN. I use a 4k monitor.

    Which package will be best?
    Many thanks for help.

  • hey, is it possible to allow upgrading the GPU to 5070 ti? (how much extra would it cost?)
