Hi OzBargain,

Lots of talk for better VRMs and well-rounded rigs with more reputable and well-known components, but still good value. A few enquiries to match or provide a similar offering on OzBargain that was available. We've done just that for you with more inclusions, and we think it's even better value at a lower price with better performance. The base model will come with double the storage SSD, CL28 RAM that will perform better than CL32, an 850W PSU instead of 750W and more.

Side by side comparison below

No additional credit card surcharges on top of the advertised price
✅ Identical Motherboard (10 phase VRM motherboard with an upgrade available to B650 EAGLE ATX at only $60 with 12+2+2 phases VRMs)
✅ Ideal and sweet spot speed and lower latency RAM for X3D CPUs with identical SK Hynix A-Die (6400MHz CL32 vs 6000 CL28) - will perform 1-3% better
✅ Higher wattage PSU for the RTX 5080 build at 850W to allow for power spikes and future proofing (MSI A750GL vs MSI A850GL)
✅ Double the storage with 2TB Lexar NQ790 (R: 7000MB/s | W: 6000MB/s) vs 1TB Lexar NQ780 (R: 7000MB/s | W: 6000MB/s)
✅ Minimalistic air cooler design, better build quality material and operates quieter at approximately 25 dBa compared to 25-28dBa (DeepCool AK400 vs Thermalright Assassin X Refined SE ARGB)
✅ Same front mesh panel design from MSI however with 6x auto RGB fans vs 4x ARGB fans for even better cooling
✅ A more affordable RTX 5070 Ti GPU option available as an alternative for the same system offering (with 750W PSU)
❌ Not a name-brand GPU brand; however, the savings were put into other components of the build for more features and inclusions for the same GPU performance

How do we ban this guy from Ozbargain? Probably the most annoying person i’ve seen online.

      • +2

        Hide

      • +1

At least JV tries to be humorous. That guy is just a ragebaiter.

        • +1

So why are we all taking the bait? ;)

    • +3

Still no deals from you that beats this or any other pc deals you complain about

        • +14

You have like 1.2k comments. You need a life mate.

  • +3

Want to pull the trigger. Does anyone have advice on this VS the techfast $2888 deal? 9800X3D 5080

    • +8

techfast is better value but parts are all entry level. this one parts are better quality. depends on whether you after cheaper price or not

    • +7

I vote for the Techfast build, Its ever so slightly better so you cant go wrong either way

At 4k, the faster ram vs faster cpu is mostly irrelevant, you'll get a few more frames here and there with faster ram (1-3% faster like they said in the post). The 9800x3d performs the same as a 7800x3d in most games if youre at 4K, a few certain games will see upto a 15% improvement but it mostly depends on what you play. Still though, a point to Techfast and the 9800x3d

Both build uses named brand GPU, PNY and Palit

Motherboard and cooling are the same in both deals, in that both can handle the respective cpu and not thermal throttled.

A point to Nebula for thhe 2tb storage, double that of Techfast. Its a great ssd as well.

The case and fans are preferences. Nebula is better as it is a flowthrough design as opposed to techfast's fishtank case. But both still provide adequate airflow and cooling for the components

Both builds uses power supply with good rating on the SPL list

You can however, use the 200 bucks you save from the techfast deal to get yourself a good 2tb ssd, putting you slightly ahead.

Overall, both are good deals. Get Techfast if you want to maximise your value. Get Nebula if you're in NSW or Sydney for the faster build time.

      • -7

The jump from a 7600X or 7700 to a 7800X3D is even less if we're talking about just "real life practical use cases." Given this reasoning, absolute value-wise, 9800X3D deal for sure. There's a reason I didn't comment that it was a bad deal, if you noticed.

      • +2

Thanks, I really appreciate this helpful feedback and everyone else's I sight as well. Will place an order tonight on the techfast deal. I did actually try last night on work laptop but threw up an error . Will get it done in my phone with no issues I'm sure.

        • hows the techfast pc

    • -3

      Definitely the 9800X3D deal.

  • +2

The 5080 deal is probably the best one you’ve done yet, but personally I still think the tech fast at $100 off even after the $50 mobo upgrade to the asus still juuust edges it.

    • +14

Very competitive market for IT and fast-moving, it's good to have competition and lots of offerings for consumers to choose from. Sometimes others will be better value and sometimes we will 😁.

Though, please do keep in mind we are doing 3 years return to base warranty for all our OzBargain system builds, whereas others may offer 1 year only. Also, we have a working phone number to contact us during business hours.

      • +8

The 3 year warranty was a key reason for me to choose Nebula over Techfast. Not a consideration if you will sell in an year or so.

      • +1

Easy to offer 3 years, however being around to provide it is the challenge. Hope you are as it seems you really are working super hard to provide good deals

        Good luck 👍

        • +4

Completely understand, we have been consistently posting and active on OzBargain for the last 2+ years and have honoured all warrantable faults since the beginning. However, totally understand seeing how many of these businesses come and go.

  • Id recommend people upgrade the air cooler for water one, much quieter

    • -3

The reason why AIOs are not as popular nowadays is because people have found them to be harder to maintain and that air coolers have become way better.

      • +2

what maintenance needs to be done with AIO?

        • -3

There are several YouTube videos describing "caking", "leaking", "pump failures", and more and also less portable. There are also error sometimes and the control fails.

      • +2

Idk, I've had air cooler my whole life , recently tried liquid and I'm not going back , much better and looks good too

    • +1

I'd much prefer air cooler over water cooler.
      But each to their own

    • +2

AIO's are typically louder than air coolers and might have more trouble in the long run. OzBargain typically tends to lean towards air coolers now for similar performance, less cost and fuss.

      • Would want dual tower aircooler like thermalright phantom spirit (highly recommended by reviewers in youtube and reddit) instead of single tower ak400

      • this wasnt my experience - I had Noctua and it was loud as, I now have MSI MAG E240 240mm Liquid Cooler and cant hear it all

        • If you had a loud noctua, you installed the fans backwards, or possibly wired them to 240v.

  • +14

I bought a pc from Nebula guys in last 5060 deal. Was a bit delayed(by a week or so) and I had to ask the status twice. They replied fast and mentioned delays due to office move. Offered a CPU cooler upgrade as the one I selected was out of stock. Shipping was fast and well packaged with air bags where needed. I initially thought they forgot the power cable but it was wrapped in box. There were extra cables from PSU and some SATA cables too. Great workmanship and neat cabling.

I would recommend these guys without hesitation based on my experience. It was also peace of mind to be covered for 3 years and know the brand/quality of parts. I will keep it as long as I can.

    • +1

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Apologies for the delay.

Anything we can do for you, please let us know.

  • +1

Hahaha nice reference to the PSU upgrade!
Hope the move is all finished and things have settled down.

    • +2

      All settled down now! 😁

Fully operational and at an even larger capacity!

      • Glad to hear.
Great work. Hopefully the new place is great.

  • +4

    Any ITX deals?

    • +1

      +1 for itx please

    • Yeah I'll jump in on this too

Something discrete, no RGB, minimalist in both size and sound that I can tuck away… But still play helldivers at 1440p with all the frames

    • +5

Very very hard for it to be OzBargain friendly honestly with ITX motherboard, PSU and case. It won't be at OzBargain's expectation in pricing.

      • +1

Haha, yeah that's what my spideysense indicated as well!

        Keep up the great work

      • That's the politest "dream on you cheap pricks" I've ever seen, lol :D

  • OP- Is it possible to customise these pc's; if so do we shoot you a PM?

    • Yes you can, on the system builder there are lots of options for you to play with. If there's something not listed, please email us and we'll try our best to accommodate!

  • Unsure whether to upgrade to 9800X3D, is there a substantial difference between 7800X3D vs 9800X3D? Is the $300 upgrade worth it?
For context, I'm gaming at 1440p and will probably go with the 5070ti.

    • +5

Not worth it, in my opinion unless you're playing lots of CPU-heavy games, and even then the 7800X3D is well more than enough for your needs for 1440P and is still extremely powerful. There'll be around a 10-20% performance difference, if budget isn't a concern then the 9800X3D would be a great choice.

      • A defining use case is vr. It's a more dramatic uplifts in many cases there.

  • +1

I bought the last 5080 deal from Nebula - can recommend. Good communications and (as a tech myself) excellent build work and cabling

    • Thank you for your support ❤️😁.

  • +1

    $1339.00 for a 5070,

Wow the 5080 super gonna be $2500 or more, and still slower than a 4090 and below 2 3090ti on use case.

Meaning value is when you buy ahead of time, the cpu, ram all trickle down ahead of time, do it in reverse and you have solid CPU and under utilized pc.

But people here don't like. Everything told what to do.

Regardless the 5070 price now is a bit overwhelming.

  • Nebula are Crushing it… :)

  • Never buying from you guys again, 6 weeks and I still have no computer. Wish I never saw your add.

    • Could be competing with Techfast?

Can you post a picture of your invoice… ;)

    • +1

Sorry about this. I've checked all of our pending orders, and none have been unfulfilled for 6+ weeks. Is it currently still in transit? Are you in WA or remote Australia by any chance?

I'd like to get an answer and resolution for you now, please email us on [email protected] and we will respond immediately.

  • Hey Nebula, when do you guys get the cheaper liquid cooler? Been waiting a while so i can complete my order.

    • Had some M240 from MSI however, all gone now. AIOs are usually not preferred by the OzBargain community due to the noise level, lighting and fuss they could bring.

We can temporarily add a a good value 240mm AIO for you if you'd like. Please email us at [email protected] and we'll action it for you.

  • Apologies for asking the community, but I am not overly 'tech educated' on parts of PC's. I am looking at spending $2k-3k. Are any of these a good deal to go with? I have only just started searching and looking at Techfast, Aftershokc and Nebula, but am ready to purchase. Need someone to point and shoot so I know what to actually buy >.<

    • What games are you playing?

      • Honestly, none on PC and haven't for a while. New PC might help me back into though. It was beforehand all Dota and WoW. Buying so I have to not worry about upgrading too much later. Have had my current PC since 2019/2020 and runs fine, but anything will be a major upgrade so now is the time for me. Otherwise, just general work and browing. I don't do heavy editing or anything of the like.

        • +1

In that case, I don't know that you need a upgrade.

I have a silent PC from 2016; still silent but deadly against browsing and youtube.

          I might force windows 11 on it…. ;)

I think I will keep it for a long time.

  • That's a good SSD you got in the system

  • Awesome deal. Would have pulled the trigger on this, but Mrs insists on our PC being all-white. 😩

    • 😁, will be hard unfortunately with the higher cost for white components.

  • FYI when u choose 5070ti, psu becomes 750w

  • When will you be getting the NZXT H7 Flow cases back in stock? also I'm after a better air cooler can this be accommodated e.g. Dark Rock Pro 4?

    • +1

Won't be at this stage sorry, stock is delayed and no ETA. You are welcome to install any air cooler of your choice, unfortunately the available ones are the ones listed.

      • How about stock on MSI MAG M360 360mm ARGB any ETA on stock for this deal?

        • +1

Model is end of life now sorry :(.

  • hmm about the 5070 ti, the picture and name on nebula doesn't match the one in pcpartpicker
Nebula: PNY NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti ARGB EPIC-X RGB OC (part number/SKU?)
    vs.
PcPartPicker: PNY Triple Fan Plus OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti (VCG5071T16TFXPB1-O)

Could you give the exact part number/SKU?

    • Apologies for the confusion, PNY have confused us as well with the SKU. The correct SKU is PNY NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti ARGB EPIC-X RGB OC - 16GB that is reflected on our website. I will update the PCPP and our post now. It is the upgraded ARGB and overclocked model.

      The exact SKU is VCG5070T16TFXXPB1-O - https://www.pny.com/geforce-rtx-5070-ti-models?sku=VCG5070T1… and https://www.pny.com/File%20Library/Company/Support/Product%2….

      • still slightly different. PCPP SKU is VCG5071T16TFXXPB1-O vs. VCG5070T16TFXXPB1-O
But thanks I know what you have now. And yes it's a nightmare with a couple of these manufacturers that make so many variations of the same thing

        • +1

Ah yes, please refer to VCG5070T16TFXXPB1-O only. PCPP doesn't seem to have it.

  • When you select 'own operating system', does it really come with no operating system, like not even Linux? How do you test the build?

    • Yes, there will be no operating system on the system, and it will boot to BIOS only. We test the system using an external operating system.

    • You can boot off usb drives / external drives. Using the latest usb ports and an external ssd enclosure it's not even particularly slow.

  • how long will this deal be around for? im booked in to get my tax done soon. hopefully be ready to pull the trigger around the start of September.

    • Until we sell out :).
