Yeah optus version, but some people have managed to get it unlocked for free.
Not every one though. The official policy generally it's an $80 fee to unlock an Optus mobile phone under 6 months old.

I think that should read $248, not $228, since the website doesn't permit you to buy without connecting a new service.
Also, there is no mention of 2 covers, only 1 in the box (black, not orange). The bonus speaker is limited availability whilst stocks last.

Yes I see the only way to get it if not already a Virgin mobile customer is to pay $228 + $20 plan = $248. No one is getting the phone for just $228 without needing to pay any more as in needing be on a Virgin mobile plan and pay money for that. Even then if an existing Virgin mobile customer you've still got to pay the money for a plan being a Virgin mobile customer. Thread title is misleading. Is a $248 investment for most people and a requirement to become a Virgin mobile customer at least for a month.

I had no luck using firefox, chrome or explorer.
Ended up calling them over the phone (1300 555 100) and getting it posted to me. You can go to a virgin mobile store but the closest one to me is 3hours drive away.
