  • wonder if that comes with lots of pods like the Officeworks one?

    • Only sampler of 12 for you ;-)

  • +1

ALL depends on the price of the pods, oh, and the quality of the coffee in the said pods

Who ever invents refill pods will be a instant millionaire

All these pod machines are always $49 on special, its a weird day when the ALDI one at $98 is EXPENSIVE

Go to youtube and search refillable pods. There are plenty available on ebay if you are interested in buying.

It depends on machine. Comments in previous deals said not possible with these.
Those aren't the pods for this machine.

The pods for this machine are pierced 14 times on each side, not once.

Lifting the foil does not have a little top & bottom filter inside - it's solid coffee. Without a tight seal, you will just release the coffee to pour out into your cup - yuck!

      • You need to search for the right type of Lavazza capsule for the machine:
        "lavazza amodo mio refillable pods"

From eBay, Coffee Systems and capsules sold in Australia
Lavazza offers 4 type of systems: A modo Mio, Blue, Espresso Point Classic and MAXI systems.

Each Systems use their own capsules and these are NOT interchangeable.
Lavazza A Modo Mio are packed with 7.5 grams of fine and compacted coffee.

        • Not much to choose from in a quick search for this machine
          100 foil seals us$25 delivered

          So that makes these
high temperature adhesive foil seals equivalent to $5.20 per 16. Woolies has sold the cheapest as low as $8 per 16 pack.

          Anyone found any
lavazza amodo mio refillable pods to suit this machine?
          I'd like some.

      • I can't find any lavazza amodo mio refillable pods on YouTube. Can you provide a link or 2. Plenty for other capsules, but found none for this machine.

I had a capsule coffee machine before. It makes good coffee, but the amount of rubbish you produce with these little capsules makes you think twice.

    • The eco-credentials have been posted in a previous Lavazza deal.

Never drunk a coffee yet that did not create some waste, economic or environmental issue. But pods are bad.

Now be a dear & make me another coffee :-)

Bought same model Lavazza machine from HN for $6 last year (after Cashback & ING rebate). Comes with sample of 12 pods.

But these pods aren't cheap & rarely go on special. Coles, Woolies, OW, DS stock the cheaper range. I'd recommend the dearer ones. My fave is the Divinamente. But at $12.95 for 16, the most expensive.

DJs sell the good pods (sometimes on special), but not the machines! HN were good for the $5 welcome discount on 2 good packs, but no discount now - except the $25 off $150.

    Note these aren't the cheaper
    Lavazza Caffitaly Pods.

Can't compare with other machines as haven't tried, but I just enjoyed another good coffee:-)

    • I too bought one of the Lavazza machines last year. I paid $24 after cashback including delivery.
I used the machine and then found out capsules are about $12 for 16 (75cents each). They never go on sale.
So I sold the machine on eBay.

      • That was always my intention, but now I'm addicted :-)

Bought some a while back at Woolies for $8, & faves from DJs on special.

      • You on a different machine now or no longer pods?

        • No longer pods. Just use a basic espresso machine and a hand grinder for the beans.

Sadly the non-interchangeable - and vastly overpriced - pods kill it for me. If I ever buy some complex coffee maker, it'll be one that uses coffee, not printer-cartrige-ripoff-wannabees.
