Wonder if it includes drums of paint.

    12 drums of paint is a lot….

    • It says all paint

    • was thinking the same thing……

  • What…. Newly refurbished box hill.. The store is not that old. I guess giving paint away might bring in a few more punters as everyone is next door at Bunnings.

    • Will Bunnings (Box Hill) price match?

      • Bunnings has a price beat on all products it stocks. But I believe bunnings has agreements with ALL suppliers that it exclusively stocks the products, or if that supplier wants to supply to someone else, it has to change the brand name, so it's impossible to get their price beat, almost.

So is bunnings the cheapest,..not really.

        • true for some items like paint where they stock different brands but there are plenty of times I have price matched between masters and bunnings on other things. worth checking

A bunch of stores are getting refurbished to a new layout that all Masters stores will follow along with a larger range of products. I believe it's the same layout as the new stores at Rouse Hill and Marsden Park in Sydney.
You should go and check it out

      • Why did the knoxfield store require a refurbishment when it's not even 3 years old. Old Bunnings across the road hasn't required any such refurbishment.

        • I think it was mostly due to the need to fit something like 5,000 more products into the store to increase the range

        • i need paint but I'm in QLD.
Was hoping for a buy 2 get 1 free but this is awesome (if you live close enough)
Any chance you can post that picture of the deal with a Masters logo or something? Might try get a price match.

        • They are changing all their shelving to match the layout of buntings stores. It's costing them a fortune to do. The good thing though is that stores undergoing Reno have some awesome discounts if you happen to be there at the right time. They would rather sell products than have to remove from shelving, store then put back up on shelves.

How broad is the definition of paint?

    Bitumen Paint?
    Decking Oil?
    Floor polyurethane?

    • I know decking oil is included and would expect the others to also be included but it would be best to check with the store to confirm.

  • stupid question, but if I wanted paint to be tinted/to match the wall @ home at masters is it an easy process?

    • Yes, either take in a sample of the colour you want to match or the old tin and they can match the colour.

  • Tried price match in NSW. They said they don't price match other states.. I'll try the competitor next :)

  • I tried to get Ballarat masters to price match and they wouldn't do it either. So ill take a trip down to box hill instead.

  • This is definitely only available at Box Hill and Knoxfield. Sorry but price matching at any other Masters store won't work.

  • Do you need a voucher for it?

This deal is kind of putting the pressure on me!!!
Have been thinking about painting the downstairs front half of the house since we moved in. Decided yesterday that I'd like to do it fairly soon… I guess that now means starting this weekend! (Got some swatches today. Will get some samples tomorrow.)

  • Honestly, what's the best interior paint money can buy for average house owners? Just so many out there..many say Dulux is the best, but is it really?

  • how long does paint keep?

    • A new unopened can will last 10years or more. A use tin will last about 2 years if sealed well. It is important to keep paint out of extreme temperatures of both heat and cold, room temperature is best.

Is Wattyl Solagard a good paint (vs Dulux Weathershield and Taubmans Endure)?

Thanks Op, picked up $900 worth of paint for $500.

BTW all decking oils etc is included.

  • I'm going against the flow here…
I've already painted a couple of houses top to bottom inside and out and wanted some PROFESSIONAL advice for our new house.

Firstly, I was after one of the hardest to pick and get right colours out there… grey! And I also didn't just want a standard paint that feels chalky, marks incredibly easily, or peels off in chunks when you remove tape or blu-tac!

I went to Bunnings through the week for some sample swatches. The guy in there was fairly helpful in answering some of my questions and had a reasonable idea on the issues in choosing a grey!

I also happened to be going past a Masters on Thursday. What a waste of time! They had little idea about the effects of lighting on greys or even much about the differing hues! To top it off, I didn't ask them to walk down the aisle to merely read what was written on the label to me!

With the amount of money you end up spending renovating/decorating a house, I wasn't about to skimp. In the end I went to a place I know are completely professional and experienced at this. After a quick chat about our needs and showing them a couple of swatches we liked, the first colour shown to us turned out to be spot on, even though we went with 3 different samples! And although I ended up paying a little more, even after the bit of discount I get using my Uncle's (in-law) account, the end result will be far far better.

All I can say to people is: If you want cheap paint, use Masters. But if you want professional advice, go to a paint shop!
Thank you to Sue at Paint Spot Frankston!
