  Hmm 5 positives in 11 minutes is really good for such a specific product.
  I have a LG TV and my remote looks almost the same (but is probably an older version). What makes this one so good?

    I have a WebOS TV with the 'magic' remote. I find it OK but my partner hates it. I think a lot of people are in the same situation and want to 'downgrade' back to a standard remote.

    Normally it sells for around $35 so for $10 it's a bargain.
    Bought if for my mum to replace original remote as it is playing up.
    She likes the original design - big, easy to read buttons, comfy in her hand.

  If anyone has one, can you tell me if there is a Subtitles button on the remote? It is an important feature for someone I know who needs a new remote.

    Yes it has Subtitles button.
    It is "Q.MENU" button, directly under the blue button.

  this sells really well at our work , hard to keep in stock ….. $10 is everyday price in all good guys store though , never seen anyone sell for $35 before.

    Never seen it in stock at local (Newcastle) good guys or bing lee.
    Every place I looked at on line that advertised it for $10~15 was out of stock.
    Available from appliancesdirectonline for $34.95 or Ebay for $36.35~37

      Maybe Bing Lee is $10 everyday as well. I know it sells out all the time so the fact you've never seen it makes sence to me.

  OK so Bing Lee have no stock and have no idea when they will be back in.
  I have an LG 55UB850T and have been looking through eBay etc. for the exact same optional standard remote control that is in the manual. I rang the LG spares stockist and they tell me the one pictured in the manual was never brought into Australia. The AN CR-500 is the closest one….but after much looking I found it !!! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/141722108448 This is a rare find in Australia and LG should be ashamed to put this in their manual as an option but not make it available.
