Great deal if you are one of the first 250 people in line. When they did this at Wicked people lined up from the early hours in the morning. If you are hoping to do this, you should plan your day around waiting in line.
If you happen to be in the area at 2:45pm though, it's worth stopping for a brief time to watch some people arrive and be stunned and amazed when they discover they needed to be there earlier. :-)
Just thought it was cool to share. I go along to each of them and the only time they said they ran out of tickets was for Wicked…

I'm free that day, might consider it. :P
I usually get there about 1.5 hours before they give out the tickets, which gets me within the front half of the line and I've never missed out. If you wait around after getting your tickets, they will give you the leftovers if no one wants them too.
I saw it as a preview on Friday 29 May and I loved the show. Very entertaining.
