great price. these speakers are pretty much the best sounding portable bluetooth speakers around

    • couldn't agree more. I've got one of these. FYI - BOSE announced SoundLink Mini II yesterday!!! These are gonna clear out soon!

    • I would say the UE boom is better because you can get it for just over $100 on the right day.

I have both. There is so much to like about the UE Boom (ruggedness, water resistance, battery life, MicroUSB charging), but when it comes to sound quality, the Bose is much better in my opinion. Bose for around the home, UE Boom for camping and the beach :)

you would say they sound better because they are cheaper? doesn't really make much sense

Not sound, just overall value for money, 2 UE booms vs 1 SL mini, I agree the sound is slightly better on the SL but not $100 better.

26,550 QFFP will also get you these with their 10% off code!

  • Wow that's the cheapest i've seen. Too bad i got a phillips p9 for my bday. (awesome sound but big…maybe better battery life?)

anw, this bose baby is awesome. Was looking at it for a while

  • I just bought a Soundblaster Roar (http://au.creative.com/p/sound-blaster/sound-blaster-roar) over the soundlink mini II, probably only due to price. There are better prices (~$150) for the roar on other sites

  • The best speakers in its class, the sound quality is amazing, it is the 'wow' factor.
You should see people's reactions when they are switched on, people would look under the tables for the woofers, lol.

The new version supports pairing of multiple devices and speakerphone.

  • Btw, the Move store at Emporium is having a sale on Bose items too! The Soundlink Mini is listed there at $199 and the over-ear (non-Quiet Comfort models) headphones are all 25% off.

  • The Myer web site lists it as $219, not $199. Is there a discount or anything else that been applied to make it $199?

    • It was displayed as $199 a few days ago. I'm guessing that sale is over?

      • Must be, because it's $219 on the Myer web site today! Damn… I was going to buy one too!

  • When I went to Myer over the weekend, I picked one up for $209 by asking them to price match DJ.
Didn't even check the DJ website - just pulled out a calculator to work out margin, and said yes.

Maybe try and get them to match the Move store price?

  • Just be aware there is a newer version of this speaker being released in a week. Not sure what the actual differences are between the two but we may see even further price falls on the older stock then.

    • The price for the new one is $299 unfortunately, so that'll still make $199 an attractive price for new buyers. The sound quality looks like it's unchanged. The new model gains USB charging, longer battery life, and a mic.

  • I just set one of these up for my dad. Said he picked it up at Melbourne Airport duty free for $160 odd?
