  • is this as good as the sandisks (extreme, extreme plus or extreme pro?), or the Samsung Pro series?

Does 4k read and write matter for a smartphone, or is sequential speed more important?

If my smartphone will recognise 64gb cards, will it recognise 128gb cards?

Depends on what you will use the card for. If you putting a Linux bootable onto it (Rasp Pi etc) or using it as an App drive, then yes the 4K R/W will be important. If you are only putting media files on there and using it to take pics etc, then you just need sequential. Sandisks in the past havent been the quickest in sequential (Samsung and this card is quicker), but they pretty much rule the 4K R/W benchmarks.

Yes - recognising 64GB should recognise 128GB both being SDXC standard (>32GB).

  • great deal. cheap price, and the reading and writing speed seems to be much better than the other entry level 128 microSD

  • Will this work in a Sony Xperia Z2?

Edit: By work, I mean at rated speeds; not a slower speed.

  • If you are looking at just a SD Card(non-micro), this one is a great deal as well.

  • Pretty good price. Was cheaper in April, but only by a couple of dollars. Worth checking the details of the write speed on these, but it seems someone may have already checked.

  • Sweet - time to upgrade my media player to 256gb. You rock, OzB.

  • This will go well with the LG G4 from T-Dimension lol. Thanks OP.'
Write Speeds appear to be 20-30MB/s according to Amazon reviews..
