These coupon codes are currently active on the Target website. Target hasn't put a flyer up for them yet, so I'm sure as to the exclusions or expiry date. I found the codes last weekend when their website was a bit glitchy and they showed up on the front page but they've been activated today.
EOFYS50 - $50 off $250 Spend on Homewares
EOFYS100 - $100 off $500 Spend on Homewares

Because these vouchers have large spends I think they would be best used on the Dyson products as an alternative to buying them through the eBay promotion because you save money now.
All have free click & collect or $15 large item delivery.

  • i wonder is that's the new dyson cooling/heater, as i heard the second gen is much better than 1st gen.

  • Difference between DC35 and DC45?

    • it is more powerful, has a longer battery life and also charges quicker

    • I would not think there is much difference. I used a friends dc35 before we bought the dc44 and the battery chemical is different -didn't notice suction improve. For $250 for the 35 its a great price. The problem is the huge difference between the 35/44/45 and the 59/v6. Still great value for $250 for the odd spruce up but won't replace a vaccum like the dc59 or v6 will.

    • The DC45 has a powerhead that is double the power of the DC35. For example there are extra bristles on the head of the DC45. Plus, the DC45 can run for 20 minutes whilst the DC35 can only run for 15 minutes (on normal mode). Additionally, having owned both the DC45 and DC59 I did not see much difference in dirt pickup between the two except that the DC45 seemed to run longer than the DC59 (the DC59 says 26 minutes on the box but I only got 17 minutes every time). Also, when vacuuming the stairs or ceilings with the DC59 the filter kept on falling out. I checked with Dyson to see if it was my machine's fault but it was not. Conversely, the DC45's filter is snapped between the cyclones and motor meaning that it cannot fall out with normal use. I eventually sold the DC59 and kept the DC45. The only advantage of the DC59 was that it charged 1 hour quicker than the DC45.

  • Thanks, bought a DC33, this will replace my aging DC01

  • Where do you enter the code? Thanks

  • Is the dc45 a better buy at 299 over at the TGG?

  • Are we able to use this discount in target stores at all? There is usually a barcode to scan instore associated with the online promo code. Anyone have a copy of a voucher to use at all? Or is it only the online codes?

    • Not as yet, the codes haven't been officially released but they are active online.

  • not available online anymore. DC35

  • DC35available online now but code doesn't work anymore.

  • And my order was cancelled

  • Hi
My order also got cancelled today and i ordered it yesterday, can they do that? Don't they have to honor it by offering you the newer model at the same cost?
    Thanks

  • Also got the cancel "Unfortunately, your order could not be processed."

  • i spoke to someone at target customer service and they said apparently the code was meant for small business owners only who apparently got sent an email with a barcode to use as well. So maybe the code wasnt meant for everyone to use? They told me yesterday it was supposed to be valid until the end of june. but only for small business owners with an abn number etc

  • for those of you who ordered with the code and it was cancelled, do they give you a refund automatically?

  • Hey - I placed three orders last night: one for an ipad, one for a dyson heater and one for a dyson barrel vacum. I received two confirmation orders this morning (for the ipad and hoover) and one 'your order could not be processed' email (for the dyson heater). The money for all three orders had been debited. When I rang their customer services to enquire what was happening they said that the other two orders would be rejected at some point as well based on the t's and c's of the voucher code not being applicable to these products. They are sending me a $30 gift card as way on an apology….

What I would be curious to know is the legality surrounding them taking my money and confirming the order (for 2 of the 3 orders). I'm sure they have the wriggle room to avoid any responsibility, but I think it's worth an official complaint with whatever governing body oversees these retailers. Where should I direct this too?

It's not my fault that their backend system was not appropriately set up. Why should I be out of pocket for their mistake?

    • just got off live chat with Lauren, no apology, no gift card. have printed bank statement and will see if it is WA fair trading or ACCC I need to get in touch with. given they took the money (which my bank still hasn't released) I'm not sure they have as much wiggle room as they think

      • Would you mind updating once you find out if it's an ACCC related issue as obviously the more complaints that come in, the more serious and more likely Target will be reprimanded for something they have poorly set up.

I just got off the phone with another customer service rep after I received a 'Your order has been cancelled due to insufficient stock' email for the hoover still being advertised on their online store as being 'in stock'. She said that the terms and conditions were only found on the printed voucher that went to a few select customers and were not on their websites.

Surely if they don't have the terms on conditions of a voucher they send out on their website then that's a pretty big oversight, especially given they confirmed my order and debited my account for money?

        • Yes correct
They are not out of stock, they realized that they fk up.

I rang up and they offered me the same model but at the cost of $299. I want to complain with ACCC too because they were quick enough to take the cash out of our credit card, surely interest would have incurred immediately.

        • @tymatk:

They told me that the out of stock email I received is their 'generic' email for issues such as this.

I think it's a pack of lies…the way they've handled this error on their part is appalling. I understand that mistakes happen and things like this occasionally happen, but there is no excuse for the way they've handled it.

They tone in which they highlighted how I had taken advantage of this code made it seem like I was the one in the wrong…

        • my reading of ACCC seemed to suggest that WA fairtrading was first port of call (Im in WA)

  • I say they have to honor it

  • -1

We all should fill out the online complaint form from ACCC website and put enough pressure on Target so that they will honor the transaction/deal.

  • Mine got cancelled too, I tracked it all the way from their Truganina,Vic Depot to their Forest Hill store and I was expecting pickup email and then it tracked back to Truganina.

All this effort because of a measly $50 discount.

Send a complaint email as I buy a lot of stuff from them
