You get a lot of time to Practice… Valid ONLY in July.

DON'T SCROLL DOWN. FULL COMMENTS SUMMARISED:

"It's only a good deal if you want to buy something."

      HAVE A NICE DAY

      • Party pooper!

      • Hahahaha :)

  • +83

$55 price increase at Dick Smith confirmed.

    • I thought you were joking.
I looked up the Wemo products, would be cheaper not to buy on DS eBay store.

  • +44

TRENT86 doesn't sleep. He just looks for bargains.

    • +5

      A.I. bot for OzBargain

  • +3

    Cheers OP :)

Should add that the $200 min spend excludes postage costs.

    • This makes the deal look less appetizing. That and its a voucher which requires another purchase. Correct me if I'm wrong.

      • +2

Yeah I guess if you can find some stuff you need for over $200 at a good price then prolly a decent deal. Otherwise might be better off waiting for those 20% off deals they have every now and then.

        Also should add:

"In the event you return or seek a refund on any item purchased using a voucher, the value of the voucher will not be refunded to you."

        • +8

Yeah it's all about being smart like checking out catalogue items and buying them from ebay store instead, some stores will offer free shipping by the time you hit $200 anyway like Target or you could just click & collect, then use voucher on next 20% off ebay sale hopefully there is on in July :)

      • +20

http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/181676609907?_mwBanner=1 you can easily reach $200 at Kathmandu just by buying a few pairs of socks

        • -1

To be fair, they do appear to be over the calf extra thick merino wool socks with padding.

  • +10

Pc Case gears stuff seem to be ~$35 more expensive on ebay than directly on their website

    • +3

15% in fee's need to be offset somehow

      • +8

Those bigger players have their own agreement with eBay. Quite sure they pay way less than 15%.

        • nvm

    • +1

Plus free shipping, and likely the additional cost of managing an ebay account on top of their normal business plus Paypal fees I assume.

But I agree with you. I normally just buy from their store since I'm in the area, unless there's an ebay promotion going.

    • +1

I think PCCG is just being more honest - ebay costs money. At least it's clear that you can save by buying from their website.

      • +4

I think PCCG is just being more honest - ebay costs money. At least it's clear that you can save by buying from their website.

They also offer free shipping on eBay which accounts for much of the difference.

      • Every sales channel costs money. The cost of getting a new customer to their website is probably more than the fees they pay to Ebay.

  • Any recommendations?

    • +95

I recommend you open eBay, take a look and let me know.

      • Lol

  • No appliances online this time… One of the few that usually include shipping in price..

    • +1

Many places allow free click and collect

  • +13

So if we use the current voucher C15FATHERSDAY to make the eligible purchase we will still receive the $50 voucher?

  • +1

Don't forget cashrewards for extra $4+ back.

  • Lets hope the few non hiked up prices arent made worse by 10am

  • +4

How about buy $200 gift card now and then use the $50 voucher to buy gift card in July? Would effectively be 20% off the gift cards (250 for 200).

    • Was thinking this too. Hope it works

    • +2

I don't know if you can buy gift cards on their ebay store. I just tried to search the target ebay shop for one but couldn't find anything.

  • +1

So now, can we buy from multiple participating stores and pay it all together in one transaction? OR do we have to stick to one store?

They said multiple items - multiple items from multiple stores or multiple from one store? Just curious.

    • Yeah up to 10 items per transaction. I guess any store? It did also state not in conjunction with other code or voucher so C15FATHERSDAY cannot be used? And no min spend to redeem the $50 voucher? The voucher is for one use only any unused balance will be forfeited?

      • You can use the fatherday code. Not in conjunction as in used the code at the same time of the intial over $200 purchase.

      • I understand "not in conjunction is for the $50 voucher use in July"

        Am i right?

        • Correct.

      • The redemption code can't be used for your purchase
        This redemption code has expired?

        • What are you talking about? You won't get code until July 1, you can only use voucher in July

        • Where do you see a code?

        • @TRENT86: C15FATHERSDAY

        • +1

@billyboy402: Lol that has nothing to do with this post man, that's a code that expired yesterday and gave $15 off $100 spend @ ebay

Here is that deal your talking about

      • +2

        lol

      • wow who would forgo the fun of searching for a hidden deal ?? just silly that's the whole point! hehe

its called bargain hunting not bargain tell me where it is! :P

        • Seems like the bargain for him/her is in someone else spending their precious time doing the leg work :/

  • +1

hopefully there will be a 20% off Sale in July to use your voucher on :) <—ebay can't use 2 code (in Voucher) at the same time. i had tried :(

  • +1

The AudioEngine 2+ are $255 only and you get a $50 voucher D:

    • are the 2+ any good?

      • -1

Very very good for the price.

      • +3

I bought the 2+ on the last 20% off. Good for the price.

Swans are probably better (or more highly regarded in WP), but the A2+ at this price does the job.

I can listen to Taylor swift quite nicely.

        • I can listen to Taylor swift quite nicely.

          That's all that's needed.

    • Want these. How do I get permission from the wife?

      • +16

Want these. How do I get permission from the wife?

Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission!

        • lol

  • +6

looks like there is no bargains anyway.

    • Yet

    • +1

Target new nintendo 3ds for 159$? Plus delivery

        • Haha well it is a bargain, just not applicable to you…edit: I just realized you need to wait for the 50$ code…. Not so much appealing then … :x

        • +16

You are not 14 years old yet? How about Fisher Price Little People?

        • -3

          @wtfnodeal:
how will get my $50 if its under $200?
          maths fail……

        • +3

@tuzii: it is $209 but CrazyMaxican thought could apply $50 off immediately then he realised $50 voucher was for second purchase after receiving it from the first purchase.

  • Anyone know of any stores selling Apple watches other than Kogan? They seem to have an inflated price of $583 when the Apple store is $499 for the 38mm one.

    • +6

      The Apple Store.

      • +3

I mean as part of this deal silly lol

  • I am in the market for a new ultrabook. This price looks good to me. Any suggestions pls?

    • This is a good buy. I have read some average reviews about its trackpad though.

      • Any idea if price includes GST? I am planning to do a GST refund. The item location says Dell Overseas Factory, Malaysia.
The price is same on their website too and it includes GST- Australia (10%) $115.82

    • +1

It's a great laptop with one of the best battery life in the market (i5 model with non touch screen version). Highly recommended but if you use webcam a lot, I can't recommend it for you. I use webcam a lot. I had it for two weeks (i7 QHD version) and I couldn't compromise with the position of the webcam so got it returned and got a X1 Carbon third gen instead (managed to get a 2200 bucks model for 1600 with education discount)

IMO I think the best laptop in the market is the HP spectre x360. Great battery life (10 hours on average), touch screen, can be used as a tablet (not really my cup of tea, but more options the merrier) I think you can grab the i5 8gb model for 1699?

  • +1

So the ebay $50 voucher is to use on anything at ebay? Thats pretty good as long as you need something from the online store! :)
Am I right in thinking its automatic and we don't need to put in a voucher?

    • +17

You could say that about alot of the deals on here

    • are you high? in what way is this not a good deal?

      • Yeah I'm high. Must be why I think this is a good deal. :)

      • Buying something at its normal price to get a $50 voucher to buy something else at its normal price… Your definition of bargain is a lot different to mine.

        • +1

If your a fool and buy something @ normal price then yes it won't be as good a deal, if your a real ozbargainer you will find the best current deal to maximise your savings

        • +1

@TRENT86: I guess his talking about the probability of finding the exact thing you need at bargain price at the participating ebay store that will then give you an extra $50 :) … the more IF you add to it the less chance of getting a bargain :)

        • It's a good deal if you had already planned on purchasing something from before.

        • Buy New 3DS, then use the e-giftcard for Xenoblade. ~$210 all up. Sounds like a good deal to me. This deal is good for low mark up items like branded tech and gaming.

    • I have a bunch of stuff in my ebay watch list and I've been waiting for an ebay sale to purchase. Unfortunately, none of the items in the list qualify for the voucher, so no purchase, ebay.

    • S**t I'm high as a kite and I think this is a good deal \o/ Wotcha talkin bout?

  • +4

Would have preferred $50 discount code rather than $50 voucher :(

    • +6

      who wouldn't?

      • +3

        eBay :p

  • +35

Here's a custom search that only includes all the participating sellers: custom search. Feel free to put in OP to help anyone looking for items only from participating stores.

Don't forget to use C15FATHERSDAY (expires around 5pm today) for another approximately $20 AUD off.

    • Legend!, was hoping there was a way to do that.

    • C15FATHERSDAY doesn't work on Dicksmith TV

      • Which one?
I forgot to mention it only works "Home & Garden, Tech and Sporting Goods" as per https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/197466. I don't think Home Entertainment is included.
+ It's possible the code could be expired but it shouldn't.

  • PC Case Gear have the barebones N2820 NUC for $168 with voucher. A bonus $50 to put towards an SSD is a good deal to me.

  • -1

Any way to search just the participants?

Can't see any other way to find bargains, realistically…
