Sonos Play 1 | Two for $536.60 Shipped @ Yatango

70
XUBT-7HDI

Maybe not quite as good as the recent Amazon deal which has just expired (or doesn't seem to ship to AU anymore at least). But not bad for two units!

Each unit is $264.95 each, shipping is $19.95. I found a 2.5% discount coupon (XUBT-7HDI) which brings the total down to $536.60 shipped. The unit still retails for $329 at JB and HN so still a decent discount.

Better still, as a new member, you get 500 points, which equates to a further $5 discount when checking out! Total = $531.60.

I believe there are also cashback offers for Yatango (e.g. $8 cashback through cash rewards).

Upon asking Yatango if it is Australian stock, they say they cannot guarantee. However they will supply an Australian adapter if it is not. So I assume none of their stock is Australian, but is brand new and should still be covered under warranty.

  • It will require SONOS Bridge so add another 100 bucks.

As far as I understand, Sonos removed the need for a bridge a while back now. It's essentially a redundant piece of kit. That in mind, Yatango should remove that sentence to avoid confusion.

See article for more info - http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/09/02/sonos_ditches_music_…

      • You also only ever needed the bridge where you had a setup that meant you couldn't plug one of the speakers into your router. But you are correct they took this requirement away a year or so ago I believe and now it can run on wifi if you want.

  • Yep, sonos bridge not required any more and if you got to 5.4 beta of the firmware you don't even need a bridge for the home theater (playbar, sub & rears) anymore.

  • For someone who has one: do these remember the last station you listened to, so when I hit the power button is just starts playing the stream I had when I turned it off..???

I basically don't want to have to find my phone and log into the app every time I want to listen to music.

I am trying to upgrade my Squeezebox Boom and don't really want to go to the Bose…

Perhaps ask SteveandBelle Maxx. They'll know.

Just started a tunein radio station on one of my play:1's, stopped it and killed the app. Went over to the speaker and hit the play/pause button and it started playing the station again.

Just my little test for you, seems to do what you want.

        Sweet…! Thanks..

  • Did anyone purchase these? I received an email this morning to say they don't have stock of black. But they do have Dark Grey. As far as I'm aware, Sonos have never made a Dark Grey colour play 1!? So I assume it's just black but they has misinterpreted the stock or otherwise I have no idea?

    • Turns out it was just a misinterpretation. One unit arrived as is black, completely unopened box and looks good. Not sure what's happened to the second unit, but they are looking into it. They also refunded the shipping cost for the inconvenience which was nice of them.

  • Saw this on Friday and did some research over the weekend before I committed. Just went to jump back on and they're not listing the Sonos Play 1 at all anymore. Tried to chat to support but they just said they have "other items that may interest me", but i'd made my mind up on the Sonos'.

Digging around, the next option seems to be eGlobal, and use WB10 to get $10 off. I'm currently at $566 shipped.
