First deal post, please be kind!

I realise a similar Mid Year Sale code has already been posted, however the Bose QC20i earphones are popular on OzBargain and I think this deal has been overlooked especially as it has previously been posted as a bargain at 48,000 points (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/132856). A great way to use points from recent CC deals!

Bose QuietComfort 20i In-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones iPhone model only:
Was: 55,500 points
Now: 37,350 points using promo code (approx 33% off or $267 at DJ Gift Card redemption rate)

The code is valid for a further 10% off all Mid Year Sale items.

Darn! Got excited but the Android version is not reduced. :(

Sorry I only checked out with the iPhone model, have updated deal to reflect this.

This one will still work with Android but the volume buttons won't function. Otherwise I believe they're exactly the same.

In some ways even if you're an Android user this model is better, because you lose nothing and if you ever get an iOS device you'll have access to the volume buttons.

      • Indeed, some research indicates that the QC20, though the NC and everything is the same, doesn't have the same inline functionality as the QC20i ANYWAYS….so the QC20i is fine for Android users as well. Ordering now.

Thanks panda6, I was looking to buy these headphones anyways, and this turns out to be a great use for points I wasn't likely to use anytime soon anyways! Much appreciated. :)

        • They appear to have updated the QC20 line and done away with the QC20/QC20i names. I was at JB Hi-Fi yesterday and saw that they're both called QC20, just one has "For Apple" on the box and the other has "For Samsung".

The Samsung version now has volume control buttons that work with Android, and the colour has changed. The dark version is now black and blue instead of black and white.

Not sure if anything else has changed.

    • I have this version and use it with my android all the time. The volume buttons don't work but the play/pause button does as well as the hands free mic which I find heaps better than going speaker while driving etc.

  • its showing 41500 for me?

You need to apply Promo Code at check out for further 10% off.

      • Can't see the iPhone Model version anymore - is it just me, or has the iPhone model disappeared from the catalogue? :-(

  • Qantas points value more for upgrade if you can get.

    • +6

Having these on your flight is almost as good as an upgrade:p

      • These are indeed very good headphones and ideal for flights

      • +1

having these - poor man's upgrade!

Depends how you define value. I'd rather buy some headphones or other long lasting products than sitting in a better chair for 10-20 hours. Dollar-wise you might be better off, but you'll have to ask yourself if you'd ever pay $2k extra to sit 'comfortably'.

        Trust me.
There will come a day when, stuck in a cramped seat on a 15 hour flight, somewhere over the middle of the Pacific, in the middle of sweaty backpackers and kids who just love to play pretend drums on the back of your seat, will live to regret that comment.

        • How much extra is it on average to go from economy to premium economy? $2000?

If you offered to pay me $2k to put up with siting next to a smelly person and some annoying kids for 15 hours I'd take it any day.

        • @nexus4:
          $2k buys a lot of sleeping tablets…

        • @nexus4: get noise cancelling headphone plus mask (pretending you're sick n don't want to spread the virus)

        • Trust me, I am doing >12 intercontinental flights a year, am tall, but still prefer to spend my money on something longer lasting, like these headphones.

  • And works on Apple iPhone as well. Probably works on many products other than these headphones.

  • Are these actually worth the $250 mark?

    • They are pretty impressive… try it in jb hifi, the noise cancelling is pretty amazing. in terms of price, its purely subjective without testing other brands.

      • Will these work if I put them on when my missus is telling me of for not cleaning? :-)

  • Bose® SoundLink® on-ear Bluetooth® headphones are also on special for 41,000 points before the promo code above.

  • i think its back up to 55k points

    • Correct. Promo code valid for other Mid Year Sale items
