I personally have them. Bought them in the last deal (09/2012). It is still working and I use it nearly everyday with the memory foam tip!
BTW: The three pack is $25 delivered.
Piston 3 or if you are a bass head Piston 2. Better build and sound. I have had 3 pairs of these (bought 1, 2 on warranty) the housing has broken on all of them after minimal use, the sound is average at best too.
Actually every pair of Brainwavz headphones I have bought have not lasted more than 6 months of use. That's 2 sets R1's (1 under warranty) 3 sets of M4's (1 under warranty) and the Beta's. The M4's and Beta's housings separated and the R1's cables went extremely stiff to the point they would fall out with any movement.
I am hard on my gear but most similar priced phones have lasted at least a year, usually a fair bit more, I have an old set of Vsonics here that would have to be 5 years old and absolutely copped it. Same as an old set of CX300's I got on the cheap. (originals not the II's)

Piston 3's get great reviews, I would go with them. I have the Beta's and they have been sitting in my drawer, my UE200's are more comfy and have a more balanced sound.
Bought 3 pack with microphones 12 months ago and the first pair are still going strong.
Public consensus: This or piston 3?
