$388 at Bing Lee is silver, not black

Sorry, did the strike through confuse you?

  • Thats crazy cheap for the 4 black…..

    • Yes, cheap. But cheap is a relative word, GoPro is still a bit bloody expensive compared to other brands of action cams.

      • Maybe - but people always explain that tech is so expensive here but with current exchange rate its a damn good price

US is $499 USD and UK is #409 GBP - which convert to $650 and $840 respectively

Just have to see how quickly Kogan can get it to me now though

I bought a Hero 4 Silver from Dicky Smith last week for $319, cheapest price yet for a local stock. However it is still an expensive action cam compared to Xiaomi Yi or SJ5000. I also have a GoPro knock-off Blackview Hero 2 which I am more willing to "abuse" than the Hero 4 Silver e.g. mounting on a quadcopter.

  • 4k looks SO much better on a 1080p screen than a 1080p video
Way sharper so please don't think there is no advantage
It is the difference of 2 megapixels vs 8 megapixels

  • Are they still removing the serial numbers from these?

  • What is the difference in video quality between the silver and black?

    • +1

Same video quality, they both use the same sensor.
Black of course allows you to shoot real 4K video, as in 30fps, because it uses a more powerful processor.

  • i bought 1 also. was considering cancelling it and getting the Silver from TGG but….
those extra frames and res i think will be worth it, even though i dont even have a 4k tele yet.
hope to get at least a year out of it before having to upgrade again.
    now the waiting

    • Mine shipped at the weekend and they attempted delivery yesterday
