    Procrastinated since Friday but finally bought the EVGA GTX980 SC.

    Who to complain to about Kogans misleading practice of drip feeding the stock to say 'last one left' when they will replace the stock in about 15 mins?
    Ebay or ACCC?

          Yeah it should be fine. Although you'll be up for postage (one-way) to Taiwan.

          I bought the Gigabyte instead, hoping that it simply won't fail (good track record with Gigabyte so far) like some EVGAs I've owned. :)

          @Lukian: Where did you get your previous EVGA cards? The Gigabyte looks good, but I wonder if these are the chips that didn't qualify for the G1 version. I'm a bit unsure about the benefits of the factory overclocked versions.

          @Sparky: Well technically they were refurbs (evatech). Honestly I've had two 670s (non-refurb) which were perfect from PCCG and two 680 refurbs which absolutely failed (both evga). I've never had a gigabyte card (or even product) I can think of, fail.

          You're probably right. Either is fine, and at least with EVGA you have to option(? likely the only option) of going directly to them for warranty. Gigabyte don't seem to like doing this, but other forums suggest you can get direct service if you keep your receipt. (Kogan's warranty handling probably isn't the best, but I've never had to use it.)

          Personally: I like the fan on the Gigabyte better, although now I'm slightly concerned about it (at 312mm long) fitting into my case (not that I don't have a spare or am willing to upgrade).

        It's potentially false advertising if it says "last one" because it encourages an uninformed purchase decision. (And the 'last one' seems to be immediately restocked after someone buys it).

        Mine was dispatched (and arrived) without prior notice. There's no tracking number associated to the ebay order status. Also it appears a third-party was used to send it out as it's not the usual Kogan packaging.

      They didn't give me any notice when they posted my Sony Xperia Z3 at the last ebay 20% sale, it just showed up one day.

      They haven't marked my GTX 980 as posted from this sale. So to answer your question, no I don't think so.

    Ordered 4690K on 28th June -> Shipped today 6th July from Sydney, probably delivered tomorrow.

    Ordered the 4690K, GTX 980 and 2xSSD's on the 28th. Received a dispatch email on the 6th but no updates since.

    On an odd note, one of the SSD's is missing from the dispatch but I ordered that with a 980 so I'm guessing they had to ship it separately due to the size difference?

    By the sounds of everyone, it appears they're arriving earlier than their estimated delivery. So…awesome.

    I ordered an SSD and a power supply from eBay Kogan in 1 transaction on the 28th June. I received the SSD only on the 6th July without tracking notification and the parcel was left at the front of my house with authority to leave unattended. I also ordered the i7 4790k and gigabyte GTX 970 on the same day but at a different time due to stock availabilty on eBay that day, and it arrived yesterday. Once again, delivered with authority to leave unattended! These two items had a tracking number and was a bit worried since it was delivered around 10am in the morning and left sitting there the whole day… Still waiting for my power supply, but the original estimated delivery was meant to be between 15th and 20th July. So can't complain yet as it's arrived earlier than expected which was pretty damn good I thought! Just hopefully no issues with the parts… Hopefully they haven't misplaced the power supply. Oh, I also thought it was meant to be coming from HK, but it was sent from NZ. No biggie… I'll be patient until the COB 20th July before I start jumping up and down for my last part. :)

      Good to hear you got your parcels. But yeah, the whole authority to leave unattended has me nervous. Same boat, parcel was sitting in the open from 10 am til 7 pm? I live across from a high school…thank goodness its holidays otherwise i'm sure one of them kids would nick it. Already contacting Kogan about what can be done about this, or I'll get it posted straight to a post office for pick up.

      Still waiting for a 980 and SSD no. 2. (Half expecting to arrive separate in a padded envelope).

      Oddly enough SSD no. 1 and the CPU arrived packaged together.

      Look up the Xeon 1231/1241 V3, usually a bit cheaper than a 4790 and the only main difference are -100/200Mhz and no onboard video.

        Thanks buddy, I was actually checking that one out as well today morning. There were some minor difference in performance, so was confused if is it worth to save $40 or so and not get i7; I was still at i7 somehow but wanted some deal :(

        Then saw this deal & did not know how I missed this one entirely - may be because I was not looking for pc stuff 2 weeks back. Damn. But seems like cost of 4790k from kogan = cost of 4790 from MSY.

          I spoke to someone at Kogan on the 20th and they said it had not been dispatched. They had to send a request to another section to look into my order. They got back to me the next day saying the order is in the final stages. Which probably means they forgot or got left out and just processed it. It's now the 28th and still no order. I emailed and asked for a tracking number and an ETA but no reply. I think I might just get a refund for my power supply. I think it was only like $30 difference from my local shop. I've had a partially built computer now for a few weeks and a mess everywhere because I can't complete it. Only could test my other parts because I ripped it out from my old computer. Otherwise would have missed out on the DOA periods for the other components if I couldn't test it.

          Bad luck. Luckily I managed to build mine, just couldn't RAID 0 like initially planned.

          Still in discussions with a Kogan rep via the Resolution Centre regarding mine. Similar story, said there was an error and it was never sent, they're dispatching again, will update me with a new tracking no etc etc.

          As of today, haven't gotten the new tracking number. But I can wait…

          I started off just sending a message direct to Kogan (not through the resolution centre), but those guys just seemed absolutely lost…
