Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months
Which doesn't matter honestly. Not that I'd bite at $3800.
Worth it for $699 savings. Also, in past I have found that Amazon has shipped items before the indicated dispatch timeframe, so hoping we get it dispatched in next 2 weeks? 🤞
$699 dearer, bad deal.
I wasn't going to get one… but I just can't pass up that offer of free shipping!!
Yeah dang $15 shipping waiver for a $4499 product! Egad!
It's so tempting this card or I can eat for a six months… I'm pretty sure that I can survive a six months without food.
I'm pretty sure $4499 is at least 1 year worth of food if not up to 3.
This makes you realise how much better looking the Inspire models are. No idea how the thermals are on those ones tho…
Free shipping?
At that price, I'd expect a tour of Nvidia HQ thrown in. That means they also fly/ship me over. LoL!
I would pull the pin if it dropped another $500. Inno3d is $3,800 now for https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/915496. Long waits.
Hold off guys. Nvidia has been less than elegant on this release.
This release? lol
Was it similar with the RTX 4000 release?
4090 released at around $3.5k, lowest it got before the 5090 released was about $2.8k, it took well over a year (maybe 18 months) to go below $3k.
@jk82: I purchased my RTX 4090 for just under $3,000 in March 2023. I had walked into the store to get a 4070 or 4080 from a reputable brand, but all they had in stock was the 4090. I didn't follow any tech news at that time
I managed to snag a 4090 for $2,699 about 18 months ago. So glad I did. Went from a 3080 to a 4090, which was a massive change. I just don't see the value with the 5090. Raw performance is at best 10% better & the rest is fake frame generation. TBH with the cost of PC gaming going where it is, once my PC cannot game new games at decent graphics or my 4090 dies, I am going back to console or cloud gaming.
@Dean D: while i'm not impressed at all with the 5090, 10% at best in raw raster? come on. There might be a game or two where they have regressions, but in general the gains are between 15% and 45%. For people heavily into supesampling, DLDSR, or VR at higher than 4k resolutions, the raw raster gains actually start to skyrocket into the 80-250% range due to that 512bit bus.
So yeah, i'm in no rush to get a 5090, i hate how exploited we are in australia in terms of pricing. But that being said, the 5090 is around 30%, with a ability to go much higher when pushed.
MFG is subjective, i personally think it's by far the best form of frame generation, and i tend to use frame generation, that being said, im completely happy using lossless scaling on a dedicated amd gpu right now. Even though it's vastly inferior in terms of raw quality at a variable framerate.
.
Can I buy 2 and SLI them?
Seriously though, what sort of world are we living in where good, hard working people can't afford housing, eating and comfort while others can splurge $4,500 on a video card!!!
We had the Covid Virus, now we have the GREED Virus
Inno3D model was $3999 a few days ago
