    Those Darwin flights are so cheap that a good Darwin return on Tiger price match or Jestar sale might get it down to a similar price as Melb?

  Wow, not bad. For anyone who wants to go to VietNam, get your shots, and go. It's basically a very long beach with a jungle inside. Tremendous history and amazing people. When you relax and get out of the cities, it's remarkable. Maybe go off the beaten track a bit, with a motorbike guide. Everywhere you go is a kickback to your guide, but the one's I've met are well worth it. If you relax and enjoy it, you'll get far more than you pay for, in general.

    I feel sad when I read reviews like this (no offence). It is not the Vietnam I travelled north to south 20 years ago. Sadly. But on a brighter note if you want a less touristy experience I can recommend Myanmar….mandalay to began…day trip to mt poppa…on to Yangon. Magical.

      Interestingly, yes it is! I actually was talking about 20 years ago… When I went, I travelled South to North, and saw 3 cars in about a month….and about a billion motorbikes, buzzing a bee-like alarm clock from before 5am :)

    Cheaper to get it when you're there. Never pay more than $20. Often it's under $10 if you're not too desperate!
