Travel Insulated Tea Flask / Coffee Mug for $7 @ Target

50

Bought this insulated tea flask / coffee mug for $7 @ Target.

Had a test run. Got my coffee from the local brista at round 9:30-ish in the morning (extra hot), and was still lukewarm at around 12 noon. Insulation wasn't the best, but good enough for a price like this. Three patterns to choose from.

I managed to get the Geo pattern (the LAST one left) from my local Target store.

hw much do they cost there I wonder

I checked out the tea flasks @ Typo too, before buying from Target.

@ Typo there are heaps more designs to choose from. There is also a tea filter included in the flask, and a bottom twist cap for you to store a teabag in there :) RRP $16.95 (I think?).

Whatever you do, never order coffee from a cafe 'extra hot' unless you like burnt milk!

    • Thanks Spackbace, I will keep it in mind :)

    • unless you have soy. You need the extra hot so it's actually hot and not luke warm.

      • Should still be the same temp through the jug :/

    • Love my coffee extra hot but hate that burnt taste you refer to. Undrinkable then. My coffee would never last from 9.30 to 12. No chance.Gone asap.

      • Yeah, I love the neg I got lol ex-barista by trade, and there's a good reason a coffee is made at certain temps

        • +1

Eh what's a neg on this site? Add it to your collection no doubt ;) So you know, you stated the truth and the truth can hurt (obviously). Ex-barista? Handy indeed. Hate making but love drinking! Lol Nothing better than an amazing coffee to start your day not just any coffee. Sadly this is rare.

        • @Scorpiogirl:

          Nah I've never had a neg…! ha!
Actually I prefer iced coffee - blasphemy!

@Spackbace: Ready for it? I hate iced coffee. Yuck! Lol

  • Mmm…

  • many times when I try to buy one like this, i cannot stand with the plastic smell inside…

    • +1

There was actually no plastic smell in this one (not that I could notice). Once you've rinsed it well and let it dry, it should be fine :)

  • I have one of these from T2 - http://www.t2tea.com/top-gifts/t2-what-s-new/t2-double-wall-…
Bit expensive but a standout from crap plastic mugs

    • Yeah? Oh it looks quite high tech. Just wonder how long it keeps your tea hot?
