Tom Clancy's Rainbox Six Siege Closed Beta Access, $6 US Donation

320

Ubisoft and Extra Life are teaming up to create an astronomical force for good to help sick and injured kids everywhere. We’re excited to announce that starting July 1, a donation of $6 or more to Extra Life gets you Guaranteed Access to the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege Closed Beta! The Closed Beta starts on September 24th and Guaranteed Access keys will get you in on day one.

Seeing as the linked website does not say either way, I'm pretty sure that this does NOT give you a full copy of the game. As the release date of the game is the 13th October 2015, this closed beta access should be good for 3 weeks at a guess. Still a pretty good deal if you want to just try the game out, and it's going to charity. Full version of the game costs US$60.95 on steam right now.

Great idea to raise money for charity

Would do but afraid I will have to deal with Uplay…

    • This joke doesn't get old. It's been fine for the past few years already.

      • I installed a retail disk copy of AC4 over the weekend and after reinstalling uplay and the game twice as per their support it still didn't work. One no uplay crack off pirate bay later, it worked fine.

It's as big of a piece of crap as ever.

That video looks so heavily scripted :(

      • Just a bit ;-)

Personally I like the heavily scripted, but I get your point. We will most likely never get this kind of experience in-game. If someone or a group of someone's could give this level of gameplay via Twitch or some other video streaming site I would so definitely watch this everyday. Imo, this is the future of online video content if done right.

        • It'll definitely be something where everyone goes on their own doing their own thing, trying to get kills and be on top of the leaderboard

Yep, pretty much. It's a pity.

For anyone that needs clarification; no, this does not give you the full game at release. It's a paid beta that helps charity. I really would like to see this on the front page as this is a great way to raise money.

Looks like a great game if you have a group of 5 friends, and terrible if you have to solo pug it.

  • Is this beta for all platforms? or just PC?

  • payingf for beta access? theres enough of that on steam.
ill gladly donate to a charity though.
