Hi Greg, post has been updated to include normal price.

FOR HER: Normally $1200 for 6 treatments
FOR HIM: Normally $1800 for 6 treatments

      cheers,

      • Thank you

        • my pleasure :)

"unlimited" but "Valid for 9 months" - sounds like a limit to me

    • Enter as many times as you wish during the 9 month period = unlimited.

Thanks for asking this question as it is important to note the same area can't be treated inside 5-6 weeks of last visit.

Hair runs through 3 stages of growth. It is imperative we hit it right 5-6 weeks into regrowth in order to effectively remove the hair from the body.

      Hope this helps.

      • So if someone comes in for the same area in less than 5 weeks do you refuse or you still do it if they insist?

        • We would definitely consider however the area to be treated will need to be examined for signs of regrowth if coming in before 6 weeks (hair follicles look different at the anagen stage of regrowth). Anything before 5-6 weeks may not work - it's waste of both time and money by the patient.

          Recommendation:
          - book all treatments day at the day of purchase (6 weeks apart)
          - prebooking ensures there are no delays within treatments
          - book your express facial (i.e. with treatment #2, or say #4)

Feel free to ask as many questions as you need. We are here to help where we can.

          Kindly,

          @powersaverau: so unlimited 9 months is approximately 6, max 7 full treatments…

        • Yes it is.

          Kindly,

          @GregFiona:

so unlimited 9 months is approximately 6, max 7 full treatments…

          lol ridiculous, isn't it.

        • @powersaverau: although I would never go there again Ella rouge say you can come in every 2weeks for face hair removal treatment. Why are you saying every 5weeks

        • hi there, thanks for getting in touch. We wouldn't recommend frequent treatments on the facial area as it may stimulate unwanted growth in more areas. Be mindful, the face is highly affected by hormonal activity (very sensitive).

          Recommended:
4 weeks min for facial treatments
5-6 weeks min for body treatments

          Hope this helps :)

          Regards,

      • Laser works by following the hair into the hair follicle and destroying the follicle.
You can only treat the hairs that are currently growing in ANY stage of growth, as long as the pigment (melanin) in the hair is dark enough for the laser to follow.

After the session, treated hair will be shed, this can take up to a month.

While facial hair may grow in sooner, for body areas it's more likely 3 months after the initial session that a person will have enough hair growing in an area for it to make sense for them to have another appointment. The more hair you can treat, the more success you will see.

        • Hi Em,

Thanks for the input. On the same page - also see below (provided to our clinic by Syneron-Candela national accredited trainers - professionals in the field of laser)

          HAIR GROWTH CYCLES
Hair growth in each hair follicle occurs in a cycle. There are three main phases of the hair growth cycle: anagen, catagen and telogen.
Anagen (active) is the growing phase or when the hair fiber is produced.

Catagen (club hair) is the period of controlled regression of the hair follicle. This phase is when the lower part of the hair stops growing, but does not shed, and the follicle is reabsorbed.

Telogen (tired) is the last of the hair growth cycle. In this resting phase, the old hair falls out in preparation for the development of a new anagen hair.

Normally this cycle of hair production will continue for the duration of the individual’s life. However, various factors can influence, promote and inhibit hair production.

Laser affects hairs when it’s in its anagen phase of growth. Thus, patients need multiple treatments in order to disable each batch of hair as it enters the anagen phase of growth. Hair cycle length varies depending on body part. Spacing treatments 6-8 weeks apart allows adequate time to target hair on most body areas.

        • @powersaverau: Fair enough, I looked into it and it's because the hairs in catagen and telogen are not attached to the root, which also needs to be destroyed (according to this website: http://victoriancosmetic.com.au/2013/11/how-does-laser-hair-…)

However, the anagen phase can last from 2 - 6 years so the majority of hair would be treated the first time.

The reason I am advocating waiting longer for sessions is because you need to wait for more hairs to grow through. If hairs stay in anagen for a long time, it makes sense to wait for more hairs to appear so that you can treat as many hairs as possible. The ones that come through in the first few months will all be in anagen, so it doesn't matter if you treat them in 6 weeks or if you make them wait another 6 weeks while more hair grows in.

Of course, if it's free then you can go more often, but if you're paying for each session you need to think about the cost.

      • so really it shouldnt be called unlimited especially when most places ask you to come in every 4 weeks when full price is being paid and every 2 weeks for face. So not a bargain

        • Hi again, this offer is more beneficial for customers seeking treatments for larger areas. Mind you it costs $200 for full body (for her) and $300 for full body (for him).

BONUS discounts can be applied for prepayments.

All-in-all, we tailor packages that suit the customer with the main objective of saving you money!

We don't charge our clients to cover for business overheads like rent in huge corporate buildings (i.e. Westfields). We are a local business that aims to provide the safest, and highest level of service at the right rate to our local community :)

          Kindly,

  • Could you please define your 'Brazilian'? Does it go.. all the way to the back? ie. Hollywood style?

This is where I go: http://www.laserclinics.com.au/our-prices/

At the moment they're doing underarms for $9. I've paid $99 for lower leg, Brazilian + underarms as a package (only had 2 treatments so far, extremely happy with results), but have since got it down to $84. Interestingly they always laser above the knee for me when doing my lower legs.. I was expecting them to stop below the knee. Quite happy with that as they've been generous in how high above the knee they've been doing it lol.

    • Hi there,

Pleased to see you are receiving good results from your treatments.

We currently offer Lower Legs + Brazilian + underarms for $90 (flat all day every day).

The current deals offer a further 20% off with any prepay (6) purchase which brings this price down to $72 a visit! :)

Brazilian = we offer the service as our customers would like it. If you like 'all the way back', we can offer that. Not every customer is the same.

      Hope this helps.

      Kindly,

I can't find ANY information on your website regarding refunds/cancellations, whether payments are transferable to other cllients, etc. Where are your terms and conditions?

Laser places are rather notorious for having lots of catches. People need to be careful when getting into these sorts of treatments and buying packages, especially prepaying for anything. Many, if not most, places will not refund the cost of prepaid treatments. Prepaid treatments also have expiry dates, usually.. 12 to 18 months from date of purchase. Use it or lose it. If you decide you no longer want to use your prepaid treatments, you can't 'sell' or transfer your paid treatments to another person either… that is, the clinic pocket all the cash.

They also LOVE to encourage booking in advance - so do ask if there are any cancellation fees if you can't make any appointments and don't give enough notice. The place I go to state "we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the treatment cost", which is a fair bit of money if you've got a whole body laser treatment booked, for example. Money lost for nothing.

I've also experienced being pushed into buying pre- and after- laser care products which were incredibly expensive. I haven't used them and still have had incredible results after TWO treatments. I also no longer listen to the pushy advice of booking myself in every X number of weeks. Go by what your body is doing and how your own hair is growing back. The clinic is there to make as much money as they can. The more often they can get you in, the more moolah they make :P

And shop around! These places are incredibly competitive with each other. Deals and sales on every week. Research. Look for honest and believable reviews.

    • Totally understand your perspective.

We have full terms and conditions available in store with all our packages, waivers, and related formal documentation.

      As offer states:
      - non transferrable
      - 9 month validity
      - no cancellation costs in you inform us 24hours before treatment. You simply miss the booking date.

We try make it as easy as possible for our customers. No catches.

      Simply call or ask us.

      Kindly,

      • +1

no cancellation costs in you inform us 24hours before treatment. You simply miss the booking date.

Why does a customer incur a less-than-24hr-notice cancellation charge if they've bought unlimited treatments for 9 months?
You can simply deduct the missed booking from their unlimited number of treatments.

        • Hi there, we try and give our customers as much freedom as possible. We appreciate our customers give us min 24 hour notice to manage other bookings for the day. We can try reschedule to another day (that week) so they can get on with their unlimited access.

All in all, we treat every customer with care and understanding.

  • It's a bargain for hairy OZBers.

    • Nice one! :)
