Voucher only valid until JULY 26!

    • Cheers, added to OP. Still 23.5% off! :)

      • +1

Oh, its a good deal, but you need to want to use it basically now.
..Else its a pretty big sting on 27 July!

        • +10

Another way around this is, place your $200 worth of order, then cancel it an hour after via live chat, CSR will give you a $200 online code which expires the next year so you have 12 months to spend the $200 :)

        • @psychatok:

What would your excuse be for cancelling? Do they "just do it"?

        • +1

          @DavidRu:

When I placed my order, I just said I ordered the wrong product x 5 and would like to amend to the correct product, but the correct product was not the same price online as per the weekly catalogue, so they cancelled the whole order for me and sent me the code valid for a year.

I am sure you can think of other excuses.

        • @psychatok:

Yeah - I would like to know if we can cancel the order without any implication. I know their online codes has 12 months expiry date because I've ordered stuffs before and Woolie couldn't fulfill my order so they gave me the voucher code for refund.

In addition, does anyone know whether we have to use the credit in one transaction or not? I want to use these credits for my fuel purchase so when I cancel my order, I'm gonna ask them to send me eGift Vouchers or physical gift card.

        • @Gorodemon:
one time I had a big refund code (~$80) they told me it'd have be in 1 transaction

        • +4

Woolies seems to have no problems cancelling orders with no implication - so why shouldn't you? Sorry but I've been burnt by Groupon cancelling deals and I've been burnt by Woolworths cancelling deals. To me this seems like a double whammy!

        • +2

2 wrongs do make a right. Cool

        • @psychatok: I did exactly the same thing and CSR refused to cancel and refund the monies. He suggested me to contact Groupon and see if anything can be done from their end. Sucks!

        • @Gorodemon: I hope you have space for all the tissues.

        • @Gorodemon:

Just ordered the 14 packs of quilton toilet paper, got an out of stock refund back for $200 code

  • +1

    New Woolworths Online customers only

    Was looking for that :-/

  • Thanks op.

  • have been doing stock up just couple of month deal before. can't think of any urgent stock up anymore for woolies $200 …!

  • +1

Man, I could of saved an extra $1.80 on https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/201935 ! Thanks

    • +7

      lol could of…
could of would of should of yea??

      • Well I already bought 2 tickets last night then this deal pops up.

        • +9

Oh. I wasn't referring to that. I was referring to this

  • Has anyone actually ever received gift cards / online vouchers for woolies/Caltex/Big W through these discount codes

Dont they always cancel the transactions and deactivate the code to work on these deals ??

    • yes

    • EA, the last time they had this, Groupon honored the deal but the cash back through cash reward had been cancelled and they marked the transaction as void.

      • Yeah Cashrewards don't offer cashback for Woolworths group (as stated on their site). I think they added this recently.

        • Ahhh reallyyy??? Dayummm - I just purchased 2x vouchers via cash rewards link hahaha. If I knew this, I would've used the referral links instead :(

    • +1

      It worked this time.

As soon as I ordered it i checked my account and I had the voucher there.

Just placed an order. All worked well.

  • +2

These two conditions make it unattractive:

Only for NEW Woolworths online customers.
Must spend it all at once ("the residual value of the coupon code is forfeited").

    • +3

As mentioned above, use new email and use the cancel order trick to refresh your coupon, so you do not have to use it all in one go and extend the code for another 12 months, if you have the patience to go through all this.

    • +2

got my order (using a new email address) to $199.86…still feel I could have searched harder for a 14cent item but looks like they've won this round

  • +2

awesome - stocked up on baby formula that never goes on special

    • how many you can buy online?
I checked in store and saw a warning that max 4 you can buy.

  • any reason this couldn't be used on alcohol? makes a pretty decent saving on that.

    • No reason

      • makes something like coopers cases about $38/each if you buy 4 (and add on some basics like bread and milk)

  • Christmas Coupon? Say what.

    • Christmas in July

  • -3

It looks like it is only 15% discount, how do you get the other?

    • as per description, CHRISTMAS

    • type in "CHRISTMAS" on checkout??

  • Grabbed one. Thanks OP.

  • I'm getting

Your reward is invalid. Please try again

    • did you login to Groupon first. Did this to me too before I logged in…

      • I cleared cache, went to groupon, logged in, went to deal, pressed BUY, selected payment method and it gave me same error again.

        • I just tried again and it worked. Was already logged in, went to deal, hit BUY, put in coupon, discount showed up

        • @Spackbace:

Yes discount shows up, but once I hit PAY it gives me that error.

          EDIT: Contacting groupon.

  • can't see any mention but does it include free delivery?
doesn't look like it from this point unless its pick up

"Have your groceries delivered to your door OR Click & Collect your order from a local Woolworths for FREE"

    • Read the title of the deal on Groupon:
$170 for $200 Plus FREE Delivery on First Online Order with Woolworths

      ;)

      • -1

so delivery cost $17? I thought it was $11

        • +1

What?! Delivery is free for first time customers!

      • i'm blind as a bat
thankyou my friend for pointing me in the right direction
        =)

  • +1

So how do you get $200 for $153?
$170 for $200 at group and the do you add CHRISTMAS at Groupon or woolies checkout?

    • Groupon

    • It's a Groupon discount code (which also shows up at the bottom of the page when you click through). Hit BUY, then on the checkout screen, create account or login, put in coupon code, then it should discount the order.

  • +1

Do people never learn from Groupon and their gift card failures..

  • Can you buy gift cards from Woolies online store? That'd be useful.

EDIT: A search for "gift card" returns 0 results.

  • Is it just a code that's issued so it can be used on an existing account?

    • existing account?

      New Woolworths Online customers only

  • +1

All good thanks OP. Have bought and used Voucher by signing up with a different email address :)

  • you get the code straight away, make sure to type the code exactly as in the voucher(eg 01234-56-789, not 0123456789)

  • +3

Just bought one and can confirm the code will apply to an existing account

  • Good deal. Pity I can't think of good way for myself to spend $200 in a single transaction.

    • Alcohol?

      • +1

Thanks for the suggestion but nah I'm not a big drinker nor anyone I know to gift alcohol. Wish Woolies sold gift cards online.

  • Is there some secret to using the code?
What should I use as the card Number and the PIN?
I've tried every combo I can think of and get "The gift card is invalid"

    • Haven't bought one, but have you used it as a discount code (during checkout)?

      Also, as per above comment:

make sure to type the code exactly as in the voucher(eg 01234-56-789, not 0123456789)

      • +1

        Yeah..
I've copy/pasted, made sure there's no extra spaces, typed out the code and tried every variable combination

They supply 3 codes, none of whose "names" align to the fields used by Woolies and Woolies provide no example of what the codes should look like.

EDIT: OK finally Sussed it out.. You enter it as a "Promo Code" in the Review Order and Substitutions area as if you were entering a code for Free Shipping. Not as a "Gift Card" in the Payment Area

  • Spend $100 one first week, wait for later got better deals and use th remaining if you can't think of how to spend it all.

  • +1

Expired? I am getting "Sorry, you cannot buy this deal" on checkout.

Edit: Worked fine with new groupon account.

Edit2: Received WW voucher. Good deal :)

  • +1

Could you buy something for $200 and then go return in store? Say 2x $100 champagne?

  • +6

can use click10 to get an extra $10 discount..

    • At Groupon or Woolies?

      • +1

        woolies..

    • +1

thanks… just used it along with the groupon code on an existing account… $210 for $153 aint bad

  • +1

Took advantage of the Woolies offer. Worked well. Thank you for posting.

  • Thanks OP!

  • +1

Fantastic deal - just bought $200 worth of eye fillet which is on special this week as well.
    A GREAT bargain IMO.

  • Anyone know if you can stack this with cashrewards for an extra $20 cash back?

    • I dont think you can unless you spent more than $320 ($200 + $120) as per Cashreward statement below

"Reward payable for first time Woolworths Online Shoppers when spending a minimum of $120.00 on their first orders final basket size (after applicable discount, if any)."

However, I gave it a go (spent $200) and see if that works.

  • +2

I took advantage of this offer - thank you! Am located on the Gold Coast, and was concerned as the offer on Groupon came up as being for Perth, but had no problems at all.

Anyway, I just wanted to point out why this was such a good bargain for a particular product that I love, but is so expensive…. The Finish Quantum dishwasher tablets are hot property when there's a good sale on, anywhere, for them.

With this deal at Woolworths, and their current special for them, they work out to be the cheapest I've ever managed to buy them before:

    Normally pkt 40 is $27.99 = 70c a tablet
Currently on sale at Woollies for $13.95 (approx. half price). With $200 spend for $153 cost they work out to be $10.67 = 27c a tablet. Suffice to say, I stocked up.
