Gee i wonder why their iPad sales aren't doing good perhaps because it's over priced.
Really? We bought one at Apple earlier this year and they wouldn't budge at all on price.
Yes maybe that's why their sales weren't doing so good.
I went for asking discount once by showing other retailers AD (much cheaper), and the Apple Store staff and manager told me that:
Only can do 10% discount from their own price.
Cheaper at Officeworks, with free delivery…

That may be a challenge. Looks like a lot of stores don't even have it yet.
The Good Guys has the silver colour model on sale going for $999 but good luck finding a store with it in stock nearby. According to the stock checker it's saying that the Caringbah store in Sydney has it stocked but can't see it claiming any other TGG store in Sydney has it.

Otherwise the iPad Air 128GB cellular is $1019 at Officeworks and Harvey Norman.
Get officeworks to beat good guy's price by 5% and have it for $949.
Probably won't work if there's no stock at The Good Guys.

As far as I know (but happy to be corrected) they don't do price matches for their online only products?

@GreatWhiteHunter: they do price match online stores or online only sales. They include the postage cost before giving you 5% off though.

Not sold in their stores. I don't think they much prices on their online only products but I will call tomorrow to confirm.
you can literally walk in to Apple Store and ask for a 10%. their iPad sales are not doing so well and they mostly honor it.
It has worked twice for me in the past.
